concerning marriage equality, protecting womens rights and civil rights, taking care of the environment, having a federal budget which takes care of basic human needs, legislators who have personal integrity, the avoidance of war, and responsibilty towards the next generation.
Edit: Her convictions aren't wrong because they're religious. They're just wrong! Unfortunately one issue voters and people who aren't very bright get to vote along with the rest of us.
I think the key is to re-frame the issues in their terms... My suggestion on the homosexual marriage issue- while they call constitutional limitations on marriage a "defense of marriage" I would talk instead about how there is no "sanctity" in bigotry and denying people civil rights is a form of bigotry, which is "sin"...
