lala_rawraw breaking news on Stephanie Miller show!!
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 10:29 AM by The Witch
breaking news re: plame case

...Says Karl is cooperating... and that's why we got the "deleted" e-mails.

Karl is trying to insulate the Oval Office... Larisa thinks Shrubya knew...

She doesn't know if deal has been made but he is cooperating -- providing info about others...!

OK she's gone.

3. You should see him right now....
He still hates American workers...apparently, some of them refuse to work for slave wages...

temporary worker program vital...they'll work damn near free...

hmm...

he's clearly off his game...

6. A guest worker program is the Bush monarchy's ultimate goal
The protests have been a dream come true for them. Now Bush can offer some kind of amnesty that would enrich his corporate contributing buddies by pushing wages down.

7. But he's been cooperating all along.
Lying maybe, but he testified a number of times before the Grand Jury. So this is not really news.

11. That's what Lala said his attorney claims.
But acc. to her, he is the one who got the backed-up e-mails and provided them for the investigators.

9. Cheney must have pissed him off
Rove is still likely protecting the West Wing, but getting an indictment on Cheney that would come after the elections this year could set up Bush's successor.

12. Cooperating to the extent of implicating himself or
the chimp or the shooter? I doubt it. If he is "cooperating," it is all lies. Would you cooperate in his place?

16. Don't doubt it.
While you should not accept anything that Karl does on face value, and should wait until further news is reported to verify and explain what is happening, it would be best to keep an open mind right now.

13. IMHO Karl is perfectly capable of PRETENDING to cooperate,
and continuing to shield the true guilty party - GWB. I have said all along that GWB told his staff to out Plame out of petty revenge. Maybe Cheney tipped GWB off as to what Wilson was doing, and that they were unhappy about it, BUT I think the order to "get even" came from GWB.

15. True but Karl strikes me as the kind of guy who, ultimately...
...is loyal only to himself. And you just have to believe that, if anyone has the ammunition to take them all down, it's Karl.

24. Story's up on rawstory now - Rove talking about deleted e-mails, etc.
http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Roves_cooperation_seen_to_advance_inquiry_0327.html

While these sources did not provide any details regarding what type of arrangements Rove's attorney Robert Luskin may have made with the special prosecutor's office, if any, they were able to provide some information regarding what Rove imparted to Fitzgerald's team. The individuals declined to go on the record out of concern for their jobs.

According to one source close to the case, Rove is providing information on deleted emails, erased hard drives and other types of obstruction by staff and other officials in the Vice President's office. Pentagon sources close to Rove confirmed this account.

None would name the staffers and/or officials whom Rove is providing information about. They did, however, explain that the White House computer system has "real time backup" servers and that while emails were deleted from computers, they were still retrievable from the backup system. By providing the dates and recipient information of the deleted emails, sources say, Rove was able to chart a path for Fitzgerald directly into the office of the Vice President.

27. I still don't trust Rove -Link to thread on story
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x764454

I think of my dogs. Each one is constantly monitoring the others. Each looks for the opportunity to get over on one of the others. Sometimes two will work in tandem to distract the third one, that's when the original instigator swoops in and walks off with the biggest bone.

We definitely need more popcorn.

28. Do not trust Rove.
No one should ever trust Karl Rove. He is a lowly slug. But he is looking to survive, and to help his best friend survive.

Keep in mind Ms. Novak, who was involved in the "funny business" that helped Karl avoid being indicted last fall. Remember that she spoke to Mr. Fitzgerald afterward. Karl wasn't in a position to be able to help himself, George, Dick, and Scooter.

29. Best friend or meal ticket?
Is he protecting his friend or his own future? Rove is out for himself. I doubt he really cares about protecting others as much as himself. Remember, most of this shit has been orchestrated by him. He has to keep as much of the wall in place as he can. IMHO, it is all about his own self-preservation.
