When the GOP needs to pump up Bush's poll numbers....who do they look too...
James Sensenbrenner.
Jim has an ability to appear with some outlandish law right at the time to distract America into thinking that GW is a "fair" guy.
The GOP controlled congress and GW Bush no doubt coordinated by Rove have created this latest PR coup to build Bush's numbers. It is a card they always knew they could play. Sensenbrenner's bill could of been brought forward at anytime but they new it would cause a huge commotion in the latino communities across the nation so they waited. Waited until Bush needed a boost and they staged the "immigration" play. Obviously disciminatory laws that will do more damage than good a law the directy goes against Bush's own desired policies...
So now we have protracted fight between what the Presidents wants and what the GOP wants. Frist and Sessenbrenner are sacrificing themselves on the alter of public opinon to bolster Bush's numbers.
This immigration law is a work of pure fiction written and staged to convince the latino population that Bush is on thier side come November. Republicans with significant latino populations in contested discticts will not support this legsilation in the end. Bush's numbers will go up and Sensenbrenner will get another chairmanship for his good work for the cause.
Dispicable. Rotten Republicans make me sick.
