1. you ARE the best! now, if the media will just start doing their job,
it'll make yours even more time consuming than it already is

2. I actually think it would be less, because then the media would
stop spending so much time on trivia and report more on the important issues, including making sure that people who don't have Cspan, etc SEE or HEAR what is said.

You know, I don't see why the media can't make this whole memo thing just as much of an exciting WhoDunIt as looking for a missing white woman. They just... don't.

3. it's because they have more important topics upon which to concentrate
their resources, like the missing dog on ABC Sunday News

stuff like that

and you HAVE to keep up, no matter what, as I'm getting rid of cable as soon as the contract is up.

you'll have to start putting up the first ten minutes of the daily show, the Colbert Report, and keep up with the important bits from Olbermann

and....even if the media ever do begin doing their job (which we KNOW they won't), you still must keep saving the best of, because where else will we ever find it?

just remember, your efforts are INVALUABLE....irreplaceable

5. OR, more people can learn how to make clips!!!
If you're gonna listen or watch anyway, it's quite likely you can make a fair use clip of what you're watching. Audio or Video, if audio maybe record your own thoughts into a podcast. I don't see myself as having to have a monopoly on doing it, in fact, there are at least 6 other A/V sites that showcase various aspects of the news, these just happen to pique my interest, but all the other sites complement each other.

I'm very serious about this, it's a huge creative opportunity for people to be the media and share items that otherwise wouldn't make it on corporate media at all, but are vital to our democracy.

6. I agree, but one of the things I'm trying to do personally is watch
LESS TV, especially the cable news garbage, which usually only serves to infuriate me. funny thing, though, as I listen more and more on satellite radio to the "progressive" hosts (mostly on the three NPR/PRI feeds.....CBC radio is a very good exception), I find they're not a whole lot better than the cable shows, but for a different reason: they're not very well prepared for the serial liars they so often have making the rounds on their shows, and they go OVERboard in trying to appear fair, falling into the same trap as so many of the so-called liberal media.

Plus, I'm very backward, technospeaking, so that's not an option for me. excellent idea, though....BE the media

what are the other sites you're talking about, btw?

I know about crooks and liars, you tube, milk and cookies, off the top

what others are there, please?

4. Maybe we could get a white woman to steal the memo then go missing - at
least then they'd cover it in every form imagineable.
