Ex-Wis. Politician Gets 60 Days in Jail

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The former Republican leader of the Wisconsin Assembly
was sentenced Monday to 60 days in jail for putting a party fundraiser
on the state payroll.

Former Assembly Majority Leader Steven Foti put partisan politics and "pure greed"
ahead of the public interest, Circuit Judge Steven Ebert said.

Foti pleaded in January to a misdemeanor ethics violation for putting fundraiser
Sherry Schultz on his payroll.

Frequently when the media are describing yet another disgraced puke who got kicked out of office for committing crimes, they will say, "...former Republican ..." when really it's "...Republican former .."

See, they're still Republicans; the slimier they are the more Republican they are. They're only former office holders.

basically the same thing; using state paid staffers to run campaigns. You'd think they'd learn after the first 6 or get charged - but them politicians - sometimes I think they may not be too bright...

5. The Judge had very strong words in a statement ...

Paraphrasing ...

Something like "not a physical attack but no less an attack on the people of Wisconsin".

He went on to sentence he to twice the jail time then the prosecution had asked for, although it is only two months. The same judge will be sentencing the lead scumbag, Scott Jensen, in the next couple of weeks.
