3. That happened to me once

...sort of. We sure as hell weren't protesting anything except high school sucking.

My senior year was the 25th anniversary of my high school. Our then Mayor was a graduate of it's first senior class. During a school-wide ceremony, the Mayor spoke to us. He said:

"I've always wanted to do this and now that I'm the Mayor, I can. CLASS DISMISSED!"

Well, needless to say, very few of around 400 high school students bothered to watch the Superintendant of schools snatch the microphone away from the Mayor and beg us to turn around. We made the national news. All day long, the Superintendant was on local radio, pleading with us to "Come back. All is forgiven." Good times.
