Elderly Couple Hurt in Raid on Wrong House
HORN LAKE, Miss. - An unidentified elderly Horn Lake couple were hospitalized Thursday after police burst into their home thinking it housed a methamphetamine laboratory.

The incident occurred Wednesday about 4 a.m., said police Capt. Shannon Beshears. Beshears said it was the right address but the wrong house.

Beshears said a heavily armed Tactical Apprehension Containment Team stormed the house.

"We had good information from a reliable source that had been backed up by a purchase of narcotics linked to the address. However, when we arrived at the designated address, there were two houses on the lot. We hit the larger of the two houses.

Beshears said the woman received a dislocated shoulder and the man received bruised ribs. Both were taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto, but both asked police not to identify them.

1. There were two houses on the lot, so they just went for the big one?
That's what scares me.

8. These people were in their 80's and alsleep when the officers
busted in. I suppose they will claim that they got their injuries while they were resisting arrest.

9. If the elderly couple wants to stay anonymous then there won't
be a lawsuit.

They probably gave themselves away from laughing their asses off.

Ed: I hope the man and woman come out of this OK but If either of the old folks die any time soon from the shock of all this I hope the Storm Troopers face murder charges.

11. Something like this happened to my neighbor.
They lived about 3 doors down from me a couple of years ago. To make a long story short, the police had gotten a tip that they were selling drugs. They (the police) said afterwards that they watched the house and saw “suspicious activity”, so they decided to raid one afternoon. When they burst into the house they shot and killed the peoples 2 dogs, one of them has just had puppies and was still nursing. I went over after the police had gone to find out what had happened and there was blood everywhere, all over the walls and trails where one of the dogs had tried to escape. Brain and other tissue was splattered, it was horrible. I helped clean everything up because the people were so despondent.

They arrested the guy, then released him without charging him with anything that same day. They never arrested his live in girlfriend. The only drugs they were able to find was some prescription medicine that belonged to the girls mother and she didn’t live there etc…

I lived there for years and never saw any "suspicous activity" of any kind.

12. I HATE all cops
All are rotten when they all excuse the behavior of terrorists cops.

Absolute power (as in cop power) corrupts absolutely.

Period. end of discussion.
