DU needs a "GD: Immigration Group" like it needed a "GD: Alito Group."

While I believe that some people want to have a "civil discussion" on this matter, I also believe that others are looking for a cockfight.

During the Alito nomination, we had "GD: Alito" and "GD: Everything Else."

Maybe something similar is needed here. Maybe not. Just my opinion.

I disagree with you. Immigration is a very important Democratic topic.

This is a white hot issue and it is very dangerous.

The repugs may have been trying to change the subject. They succeeded in starting another loosing war. We can easily win this debate. The long term benefits to the party and the Country could be enormous.

We need to find a way to give Hispanic and other immigrants a political home without alienating labor, progressives, or the America people. The Republican position is so extreme that it should not difficult to accomplish this.
