SPECIAL STATEMENT: FEC DECISION IS NOT A VICTORY, BUT A MORTAL BLOW TO INTERNET FREEDOM
MARCH 27, 2006
Based on the email I received, I think that many of you were deceived by the latest sham created by the Associated press. This story was forwarded to me by several people. The headline itself is a venom- infested lie, which reads " FEC Won't Regulate Internet Politics." This headline is a horrendous falsehood, as we see from the very first line of the story.
The text of the article reads that "The Federal Election Commission decided Monday that the nation's new campaign finance law will not apply to most political activity on the Internet."
That's the vicious lie of the Associated Press.
http://www.thedeadpelican.com/SPECIAL3.HTMThis is Chad Rogers, who is likely financed by one or another of the Right-wing jackals who funds Drudge and various other astroturfings. I think he's upset because it means ads candidates buy on websites like his have to be tracked by the SEC. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find out who's bankrolling him now as it is.
I wrote about a bit of correspondence I had with him on my (most assuredly NOT bankrolled by anybody) blog:
