As it turns out, the decal was an anti-Bush bumper sticker Grier slapped on her 2001 Chrysler Sebring last summer. The bumper sticker — "I'm Tired Of All The BUSH—" — contains an expletive.

The officer "said DeKalb had an ordinance about lewd decals and wrote me a ticket" for $100, said Grier, an oncology nurse at Emory University Hospital who lives in Athens.

What a load of nonsense the whole thing is.

I have to say this: I'd hate to have to do Denise's commute. I obviously don't know where in Athens she lives, but I do know the distance from the center of Athens to Emory University hospital is a shade under 70 miles, so allowing for Atlanta's insane traffic it must take her at least 2 hours each way just to get to work. She doesn't need some dickhead policeman giving her grief for her political views on top of that.

Edited for clarity.

6. Funny how they never enforce the Georgia Law that bans the peeing Calvin
...stickers that are always found on Ford or Chevy Pick-up Trucks.
<http://www.isitfast.com/pee_on_decals.htm>

Georgia has a Law against stickers on any vehicle, that depicts Urination.

7. I never understood that sticker. Who/what is Calvin anyway?
Edited on Tue Mar-28-06 04:48 PM by CottonBear
It doesn't particularly offend me, rather, it is simply juvenile. Only young, white, frat guys or country guys in trucks seem to have these stickers.

8. Calvin was a comic strip character from the late '80s.
a little boy with a big imagination who always gets into trouble.

The author has nothing to do with these stickers, I think he even filed lawsuits to stop them.

...spread throughout more than a dozen books.

I have most of the "Bloom County" and "Outland" too. Sad to hear that "Calvin & Hobbes" is no more, but my current favorite now is

"Get Fuzzy"

Bucky (the cat) is great!
