'Dirty Bombs' Crossed U.S. Borders in Test
WASHINGTON (AP) - Undercover investigators slipped radioactive material - enough to make two small "dirty bombs" - across U.S. borders in Texas and Washington state in a test last year of security at American points of entry.

Radiation alarms at the unidentified sites detected the small amounts of cesium-137, a nuclear material used in industrial gauges. But U.S. customs agents permitted the investigators to enter the United States because they were tricked with counterfeit documents.

The Bush administration said Monday that within 45 days it will give U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents the tools they need to verify such documents in the future.

The Government Accountability Office's report, the subject of a Senate hearing Tuesday, said detection equipment used by U.S. customs agents to screen people, vehicles and cargo for radioactive substances appeared to work as designed.

1. Dirty bombs don't work
This is propaganda intended to scare people. It is a known that a dirty bomb is totally and completely useless and can't even kill a fly.

3. The Power of Nightmares
http://www.archive.org/details/ThePowerOfNightmares (It's in the 3rd video, but whole documentary is well worth watching, since it gives great insight in the Islamic movement and the neoconservatives)

He makes the best case against dirty bombs. The issue with dirty bombs is that it dillutes the radiation so much that there is no way that it can be harmful. It's the same as with bird flu where the odds are so incredibly small that the whole emphasis is just make people afraid.

A human being has many emotions and even though they all have their purpose, it is the power of fear which is the one used most to control people, since it is a stronger emotion than every other, hence the dirty bombs, bird flu, terra-ists and other propaganda to keep the population in check.

Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself

4. I heard that on CNN last night.
Seems our borders are wide open and waiting for an enterprising terrorists to walk right on in. I'm really surprised terrorists haven't done just that.

5. It didn't bother them in Iraq either
Let's invade a country, but keep the borders unchecked... It's almost like they wanted the Iraqi to have weapons and an influx for foreign fighters...
