5. I think he's more than a sacrificial lamb.
He may have been a major conduit.

7. Nonsense. Card was nobody.
People may think he was Leo McGarry because of the position until you realize that Bush used to yell at him to fetch cheeseburgers, according to Paul O'Neil.

8. eh, that's what a conduit does. He's a go-between.
But, his name keeps coming up on this and several other questionnable activities. Keep this in mind, if he's JUST a conduit, then he has a lot to say and may make a good witness. If he's more, then he'll try to keep his mouth shut on orders from his lawyer.

9. Gotcha. I thought you meant a conduit for meaningful uses.
My impression was that Card will do as he's told...that's what he seemed like he was there for.

12. He once said on C-Span that he loved getting up and going
to work at the Whitehouse everyday. He is just so happy to have been invited to the party. But he is harmless.

Nevertheless, it has occurred to me that maybe he has agreed to take the fall in Plamegate, and so now must resign before being indicted. Just a possiblity.

15. Why would he be loyal at this stage?
If he AGREEs to take a fall, then there must be some deal he made with Bush and the cronies.

6. I thought Bush did not look at the polls.
I am willing to bet it is more Carl's thinking than Card's thinking that is doing the WH in.

4. Iraq is going to hell, hell may be coming here as a result, BFEE...
members are not genetically able to perceive their contributions in these matters truly, they're too bust counting the money...and it's all Andy Card's fault. cause Bab's Bush's little boy George, is perfect in her eyes = bullshit

10. Can't remember where I heard this
...but the other week I heard (possibly one of the NPR morning or weekend programs??) that Card hated his job and wanted out. If he was doing things like fetching cheeseburgers I couldn't blame him.

One can only hope he's disgruntled, and will write a book...

13. Bush wants to keep them around.
They are well-trained to say "Yes, Dear Leader!" at the drop of a malapropism. Hard to find well-trained stooges these days.

14. not much of a shake-up
the same shill, Joshua Bolten, who's been pushing the agenda all along will replace him. Bolten's actually from the business end of the WH staff, involved in all of the phone calls to editors and the footwork a loyal Bush soldier is required to do to keep the s**t afloat over there.
