It seems to me that once again, the repubs have, in their own convoluted way changed the focus of all of the scandals and failings of the administration to create a new "issue du jour."
I don't care if you are for or against immigration reform. I don't care about all of the ramifications of that issue at this moment. And I am completely aware and I do understand that for many it is an important issue, and that some political solution needs to be hammered out, and not with the hammer falling on the heads of working illegal aliens.
What I DO care right now, and will care about first and foremost is getting the Fucker-in-Chief and the Vice Fucker investigated fully, impeached and convicted and unceremoniously thrown out of town.
To get this done, we MUST, IMO, maintain focus on Bush's contempt toward the constitution and Americans, his wholly failed foreign and domestic policies, and the corruption of an administration from the top down, whose stench reaches around the globe.
I do not want to trivialize the immigration issue, but to be honest, it is this year's version of the 2004 gay marriage issue.
The repubs are masters at manipulating the media,(and why shouldn't they be, when you see who are on the media corps. boards of directors?)and the media is complicit. We cannot allow this to happen. Each of us need to keep the media focused on what will throw the mid-terms to the democrats this next fall. This means continued writing of LTTE's reminding everyone of the war, domestic spying, subverting the constitution, Jack Abramoff, the newly revealed memos, and all else that points to the corrupt failings of Bush, et al. Also, it means beating this same drum on talk radio, T.V. call-in shows, blogging and anything else that will drown out the immigration diversion.
So, please can we allow the immigration issue to take a back seat for the moment?
