2. To be fair, 17,554 is a drop in the bucket.
Probably in the low hundreds of thousands make it into the US from just the southern border. Clinton beats Bush, but the fact is the problem is way bigger than the effort that was put forth by both administrations, and the effort is pathetic on both counts.

I'm not just talking about common sense border policy. I'm also talking about trade policy and the the lack of a concerted campaign to bust up businesses that knowingly hire illegal aliens in order to skirt labor laws.

3. 445 show there is no effort by Bush
Those people were probably pulled over for traffic violations, not pursued and captured by border agents, etc.

4. Agreed
However the drop-off-the-cliff difference between the two struck me as nothing other than the bushco administration dictating a definite hands off policy here.

7. Apparently not: Bush can't even FIND any illegals to deport!

Thanks to Bill catching and ridding our country of illegals once and for all!

9. If that doesn't tell you EXACTLY where Bush is going with his "reforms"
Edited on Tue Mar-28-06 08:55 PM by Inland
All he is doing is making the exploitation of illegal labor easier. Not only do employers have NOTHING to fear, not even a disruption of their illegal workforce, but the illegals have to worry that their employers are going to set them up for a felony charge if they ask for a two minute potty break during the day.

10. For the day shift
If you've seen this my apologies but thought those who hadn't might find it pertinent.
