4. Just saw Willie last weekend @Backyard in Austin -he stopped the rain
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 12:24 AM by MazeRat7
Seriously, every place around us got wet.. but not the outdoor amphitheater where he was preforming...

Somehow I believe Willie is in touch with the FSM.... (but damn... someone needs to put "Trigger" out of it misery)

7. I never get to see Willie play.
I always learn about his gigs AFTER the fact, or like five minutes before. It never fails!

8. Well you better get busy... that ol' coot is not going to be around long..
Thats part of the reason I went. Never seen him, and like you, being from Austin.. its kind of hard to admit that in public. But dont be sad... only the good die young so I am sure he has a few more Austin dates before Willie is no more. :)

5. He's been advertising for Kinky Freidman in TX, for gov. NOT
good. I love Willy, not Kinky, so that annoys me. We need a real candidate, not Kinky.

6. Even Kinky would be better than those latest two
It's hard to think of any way he could possibly be worse, although I'm agaist showbiz folks who don't know their thumbs from their bums going into politics. They always need hacks for advisors, and that's where the trouble comes from.

15. I have some avid Texans who think Kinky would stink, and I
agree. My dear peeps on this forum are so active, involved, and I think they are all hot stuff!

Patsy, Tammy, Loretta?

i've always preferred Willis Alan R. myself.

19. Kinky used to front a C&W band in the 1970s. I went to see him.
That's why Willie is backing him. Old friends.

23. I still listen to Roger Miller. Trailers for sale or rent, rooms to let
fifty cents.

And Marty Robbins.

He was a great one, too. Such soulful ballads.

Dang it, I'm going to have to get some new CDs. Good music never gets old.
