I don't get it. 6 years for Abramoff, 30 for the guy who tried to
assasinate bush. Where's the justice? I think a stern reprimand would have sufficed. (At most)

1. Abramoff turned State's Evidence.
Makes all the difference when you have somebody more important than yourself to give up.

2. If they find he's been holding back, will he do more time?
Is that the way it works?

3. No - He'll Face More Charges
What they do is drop charges, not decrease the sentence for the charges he has been found guilty of. So if he was not forthcomming they can always drag his ass back into court and take away any last dime he has salted away and add time too.

5. That's encouraging...I think.
It's hard to say, because I have no idea what they're working on (outside of the big stuff that hit the headlines months ago).

4. And what about the murder charge?
I have to assume this sentence doesn't include that.

the murder remains unsolved

this story from the BBC News site:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4144988.stm
The two men (Abramof & Kidan) bought SunCruz from Fort Lauderdale-based entrepreneur Konstatinos Boulis in 2000.

He was later shot dead, in a murder that has never been solved.

7. That only ONE of his two convictions
He has yet to be sentenced for the Native American Tribe fraud and vote buying convictions. That's just the Florida fraud case.

More shoes still to drop.
