Nailing Rep. McKinney--Accusing her of assault + McKinney Background
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 11:38 PM by autorank
Channel 7 in DC just reported that Rep McKinney, D, GA entered her House office building and bypassed security, a common occurrence for members of congress. She was not recognized as a MC by the security guard who challenged her. There was a disagreement and then the Capitol police officer claims McKinney hit him with a cell phone.

There is no press yet but there will be.

I suspect this is a set up.

McKinney is bold in saying 2004 was a rigged election and that 911 was a major conspiracy.

Have you heard about Cynthia McKinney, former U.S. Congresswoman?

According to those quoted on National Public Radio, McKinney’s “a loose cannon” (media expert) who “the people of Atlanta are embarrassed and disgusted” (politician) by, and she is also “loony” and “dangerous” (senator from her own party).

Yow! And why is McKinney dangerous/loony/disgusting? According to NPR, “McKinney implied that the Administration knew in advance about September 11 and deliberately held back the information.”

The New York Times’ Lynette Clemetson revealed her comments went even further over the edge: “Ms. McKinney suggest that President Bush might have known about the September 11 attacks but did nothing so his supporters could make money in a war.”

That’s loony, all right. As an editor of the highly respected Atlanta Journal Constitution told NPR, McKinney’s “practically accused the President of murder!”

McKinney backs 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' repeal after meeting with activists
Father had demanded gay endorsements
By DYANA BAGBY | Mar 29, 3:33 PM

U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) this week signed onto House Bill 1059 to repeal the government’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy after apparent pressure from constituents.

U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) backed a measure to repeal 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' after months of pressure from gay rights groups.
McKinney, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, officially co-sponsored the Military Readiness Enhancement Act on March 28. The measure would allow gays to serve openly in the military, according to the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network.

McKinney could not be reached for comment by press time.

McKinney’s chief of staff, Warren Miller, and her father, Billy McKinney, met with local gay activists March 18 at her district office in Decatur. The meeting may have prompted her decision to back the military bill after months of lobbying from national and local gay rights organizations, according to Danny Ingram, a member of the local chapter of American Veterans for Equal Rights.

At the March 18 meeting, Billy McKinney chastised gay voters for allegedly not supporting his daughter in 2002 when she lost her congressional seat to Denise Majette. McKinney regained her seat in 2004 and, until this week, had not signed on to co-sponsor any of the pro-gay measures tracked by the Human Rights Campaign, a national gay political group that endorsed her in 2002, but not in her comeback bid.

WASHINGTON - Rep. Cynthia McKinney and a police officer scuffled Wednesday after the Georgia Democrat entered a House office building unrecognized and refused to stop when asked, according to U.S. Capitol Police.

McKinney, a sixth-term congresswoman who represents suburban Atlanta, struck the officer according to one account, a police official said, adding there were conflicting accounts. The officer, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the incident, spoke only on condition of anonymity.

No charges were filed, police said.

McKinney issued a statement Wednesday night saying she regretted the confontation.

"I know that Capitol Hill Police are securing our safety, and I appreciate the work that they do. I have demonstrated my support for them in the past and I continue to support them now," she said.

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney Submits Bill to House Government Reform Committee to Investigate MLK Assassination
http://www.bestsyndication.com/Articles/2006/r/revel_gary/022506_investigation.htm
Cynthia McKinney

Los Angeles, California, USA Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of Georgia submits a bill to the House Government Reform Committee that if passed would reopen the Martin Luther King Jr. assassination investigation. Due to the fact that there was little evidence in the case to ever convict James Earl Ray in a trial for the murder and that the Memphis Police Department and the FBI made a complete farce out of the following investigation it was just a lucky break for the prosecution that Ray pled guilty.

He only did that because he was threatened by his lawyer and the FBI with all kinds of injustice; like the re-incarceration of his 70 year old father and the imprisonment of his brothers as well as the simple conclusion by his lawyer Mr. Percy Foreman that he would be electrocuted for sure if he went to trial.
Evidence of tampering in the investigation by United States government departments along with the agents of the FBI and CIA seemingly playing double roles in the whole matter simply add to a very confusing case that is desperate for clarity. The history of this great country continues to be
marred by the event of King's murder and the circus that became the investigations of it ever since.

Georgia Congresswoman In Scuffle With Police

Matthew Borghese - All Headline News Staff Writer

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - An incident occurred in the Capitol building, when Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) had a slight fight with a security guard upon entry.

According to reports, McKinney routinely goes without a lapel pin which allows members of Congress to bypass security checkpoints.

However, when McKinney was not recognized, and failed to stop when asked, she was approached by U.S. Capitol Police.

According to one police officer's anonymous account of the incident, the Atlanta Representative struck the officer.

However, reports differ, and many say that despite not wearing the pin, McKinney is often recognized by police.

15. Cynthia McKinney Asks Chertoff Tough Question 10.19.05
http://www.newshounds.us/2005/10/19/cynthia_mckinney_asks_chertoff_tough_question.php
Reported by Deborah - October 19, 2005

Brian Wilson reported on the Katrina hearings during Special Report tonight and the keys figures in his report were Jeb Bush and Cynthia McKinney. Jeb Bush, of course, praised himself and FEMA while Cynthia McKinney was shown asking Chertoff a brilliantly honest question. 10/19/05

Jeb Bush, FNC's favorite Governor, claimed that his experiences with FEMA were very different adding that the services provided work better in communities that are prepared. The Bush arrogance was quite evident in this not too subtle indictment of Louisiana efficiency.

Cynthia McKinney, on FNC's top 10 list of most bashable liberals, was shown asking Chertoff this question.
" If the Nursing Home owners were charged with negligent homicide, why weren't you all charged?"

It was reported that Chertoff took his time answering McKinney and when he finally responded he seem contrite, puzzled and unable to account for everything that went wrong.

16. McKinney on 911 (1st to introduce "Jersey Girls"), Gov. Secrets, & Katrina
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 11:54 PM by autorank
Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynthia_McKinney
Initially, McKinney was low-key upon her return to Congress. However, on July 22, 2005, McKinney held a congressional briefing on Capitol Hill to address outstanding issues regarding the September 11, 2001 attacks. The day-long briefing featured family members of victims, former intelligence agency officials, noted authors, and other experts who collectively gave a searing indictment of the 9/11 Commission and its recommendations. First to speak were the Jersey Girls, an organization of 9/11 widows who endeavored to see the 9/11 Commission formed, only to conclude that it was "an insult to the intelligence of the American public," as member Lorie Van Auken described it in her opening statement. The four morning panels were meant to address flaws, omissions, and the lack of historical and political analysis in the commission's report. Three afternoon panels critiqued the commission's recommendations in the areas of foreign and domestic policy, and intelligence reform. An Atlanta Journal-Constitution editorial maintained that the purpose of the event was to discuss whether or not the Bush administration was involved in the 9/11 attacks, and was timed to coincide with the first anniversary of the 9/11 Commission's reports, expressing surprise that McKinney was once again taking on the issue which was widely believed to have been the one that cost her her House seat, yet the Journal-Constitution refused to publish McKinney's reply.

McKinney's interest in 9/11 relates specifically to her opposition to excessive government secrecy. She has submitted to Congress two versions of the same bill, the "MLK Records Act" (one in 2003, the other in 2005,) which, if signed into law, would release all currently sealed files concerning the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.. These records were sealed in 1978 and are not due to be declassified until the year 2038. Likewise, the 9/11 Commission has sealed all the notes and transcripts of some 2,000 interviews, all the forensic evidence, and both classified and non-classified documents used in compiling its final report until January, 2009. Documents relating to the death of rapper Tupac Shakur, which McKinney has taken an active interest in, would also fall under this bill. In a statement, McKinney explained her reason for the bill: "The public has the right to know because he was a well-known figure. There is intense public interest in the life and death of Tupac Shakur.” Critics assert she is merely pandering to her power base. Others point out that legislation demanding release of records is a more direct route than the tedious process and limited scope of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Rep. McKinney has been an outspoken advocate of the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and an outspoken critic of the government's slow response. Despite the Democratic Party leadership's call for a boycott, McKinney has been an active participant in the Select Bipartisan Committee to Investigate the Preparation for and Response to Hurricane Katrina, sitting as a "guest" along with only a few other Democrats. In questioning Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, McKinney referred to a news story in which the owners of a nursing home were charged with negligent homicide for abandoning 34 clients who died in the floodwaters, McKinney asked Chertoff: "Mr. Secretary, if the nursing home owners are arrested for negligent homicide, why shouldn't you also be arrested for negligent homicide?"

17. McKinney Statement on Incident Today 03.29.06 (her site)
Statement of Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney
on Capitol Hill Incident
March 29, 2006
http://www.house.gov/apps/list/press/ga04_mckinney/incidentstmt.html

(Washington, DC) - To the Members of the Capitol Hill Police:

Earlier today I had an unfortunate confrontation with a Capitol Hill Police Officer. It is traditional protocol that Capitol Hill Police Officers secure 535 Members of Congress, including 100 Senators. It is the expectation of most Members of Congress that Capitol Hill Police officers know who they are. I was urgently trying to get to an important meeting on time to fulfill my obligations to my constituents. Unfortunately, the Police Officer did not recognize me as a Member of Congress and a confrontation ensued. I did not have on my Congressional pin but showed the Police Officer my Congressional ID.

I know that Capitol Hill Police are securing our safety, that of
thousands of others, and I appreciate the work that they do. I deeply regret that the incident occurred. I have demonstrated my support for them in the past and I continue to support them now.

"Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, spokeswoman for the Capitol Police, was unable to confirm the details of the account, saying, “The matter has been brought to our attention and is currently under investigation.”"

Now, we may just have a timing issue here, there could be tapes but they didn't have them when this statement was made

OR

You may be right, there is video tape...we'll know there is if they say there isn't;). That's how it works, right. If there's take and it works for "the authorities", then it's pictures at 11:00. If there's tape and it works for Cynthia McKinney, then there isn't tape according to "authorities", which, of course, means there IS tape. It's "management" Deceiption 101. Clear? This is why Congress gets us in so much trouble. They can't even run their own house with respect and dignity to the people's representatives. But, hey, that's just my opinion.

Remember folks, Rove always gives his trial balloons first to one of his best buddies, Matt Drudge and a Republican Committee member leaked the story. Shazam! Are you surprised?

I'm not buying it.

McKinney in fracas with officer
By Josephine Hearn and Jonathan E. Kaplan

A U.S. Capitol Police officer is considering filing assault charges against Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) following an altercation yesterday in which she allegedly hit him after he asked to see identification, according to a source familiar with the incident.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:50 yesterday morning at the New Jersey Avenue and C Street entrance to the Longworth Building. As McKinney was entering the building, the officer stopped her and asked for identification. McKinney allegedly hit him before identifying herself as a member of Congress and walking away, the source said.

McKinney’s office would not comment on the incident yesterday afternoon.

Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, spokeswoman for the Capitol Police, was unable to confirm the details of the account, saying, “The matter has been brought to our attention and is currently under investigation.

62. Yeah, I like him too, but it bothers me that...
...he just made Rep. McKinney 2nd Place for "Worse Person" when I would've expected him to defend her by saying that the security guards should've recognized Congresswoman McKinney off bat!

I mean, she's no faceless congresswoman, and enjoys a high-profile reputation.

It doesn't change how I see Olbermann--I still watch his show religiously every afternoon at 5 (PT)--but it's disappointing to see this while knowing how thorough Keith usually is.

She deserves more recognition from everyone because she is one of the few rare ones up there that speaks her mind, regardless.

9. her response
""Earlier today I had an unfortunate confrontation with a Capitol Hill Police Officer.

"I know that Capitol Hill Police are securing our safety, that of thousands of others, and I appreciate the work that they do. I deeply regret that the incident occurred. I have demonstrated my support for them in the past and I continue to support them now."

Her whole statement is apologetic. She did NOT have on the Congressional pin that would have been visible and identified her. Yes, she showed him an ID, but that was not visible as she passed and went around the metal detector. He called to her to stop and she didn't. Sorry, but the Capitol is under extreme security and she broke the rules that ALL Congressman have to follow. She does this often and provokes an incident whenever she can.

Just wanted them to be heard. What a "grave crime" that must be in the eyes of "management." We were just supposed to shut up and take it...not notice that Rice lied about it the first week, 'never expected them to slam planes into buildings'; not notice that * couldn't find his way back to DC with the rest of us; not notice that no actions were taken to stop the NYC and DC events; not notice that James Bamford, the respected author said, "Disturbingly, the story that George W Bush tells of his hearing of the attacks cannot possibly be true." p.35 A Pretext for War; not notice that a memo outlining the whole plot was never read by * (probably to this day!); and not notice that the attacks were used by * and the Neocons to justify the Iraq War.

Well, "management," the American people researching their own new resources HAVE NOTICED this and much more...we're fully aware that the bigger the crime, the bigger the conspiracy and that the endless coverup of 911, Iraq, Katrina, election fraud, etc. etc., are just a finger in the dike, one that will be removed soon. Let the tidal wave of truth begin.

Not talking about the incident (or 'non-incident') but about her intelligence, bravery in pursuing the truth about 9-11, the idea that the rightwing wants to bring her down, etc. Perhaps a suggestion that she annoys the corrupt and powerful precisely because she is responsive to the people.

Some pre-emptive PR.

No it sounds like she didn't have her congress pin on like she was supposed to have and a guard tried to stop her and she hit him.

She's from right around here and she is very high strung - this sounds exactly like her. Her Dad was a politician here too and he was "colorful" too. He supposedly pulled a knife on the state house floor (although this could be an urban legend.)

On the other hand its not like she's new - you would think they would recognize her by now.

On the Channel 7 news, staffers said, that this makes no sense, lots of them forget their pins and expect to be recognized, which they are.

She's high strung, I have not doubt, and for good reason. Her Capitol Hill career was low key UNTIL she did the 911 event for surviving families. That's when it started here for her. She's got the guts to speak up and say, "bullshit" to some important scams, the 911 investigation, election fraud.

DC is an inside crowd type of town. You're supposed to go along to get along. The GNewt crowd disrupted that for the House, to some degree, but someone outspoken like McKinney is still well out of bounds for the crew in congress. They can't do their ear marking, and other schemes to pilfer the public if they think that there is someone who might actually tell the truth.

They knew who she was...

They are small and that is their job - but when you are running around a metal detector entering a highly secure building and a cop tells you to stop, you should stop.

I probably know Ms McKinney better than most on this board and I don't feel sympathetic toward her personally - her beahvior around Atlanta is legendary. She has had a series of incidents in her career - more incidents with security than the rest of the Georgia Democratic delegation combined.

The Atlanta paper ran pictures of her recently versus the official congressional photo - she looked quite different.

139. Yes I could probably find some old articles
But My point doesn't have anything to do with her politics - my point is that a person can be unpleasant even if we agree with their politics. They can also be nice even if we disagree.

And none of the things that she has done would likely keep a person who agrees with her politics from voting for her but I simply don't like her personally.

In Washington she had confrontations with the capital police before and problems with the White House security when visiting President Clinton.

She has done things like lose a primary and then continue to accept donations for the general election when she wasn't in the general election. And little petty things - like taking down opponent's signs or refusing to leave when told she could not campaign at a voting site on election day or using endorsements from people like Robert Redford, Andrew Young and Bill Clinton that were disavowed by the endorsers (in each case they really had endorsed her for an earlier campaign but not given permission for the current campaign.)

If you really care I could do some research and refresh my recollection and find a bunch more incidents but thats not really the point - all I'm saying is that I have no trouble believing that it happened the way it has been reported.

The worst "actual" complaint was the fund raising one and she only had to pay back the money - there were no charges.

My comments go to personality and manners.

Suppose somebody told us that Jimmy Carter slapped them for no reason - nobody would believe it - on the other hand, even Dick Cheney's friends and supporters wouldn't be surprised if he blew up in public... same thing here with Representitive McKinney.

36. The trusty "Shifting Story Sliderule" reading in favor of McKinney
It started with a tap - Dana Bash/CNN:

"He went up to her and tapped her, according to Lou Cannon, the head of the Capitol Police union. He tapped her, and then she turned around and took her cell phone out and struck her -- struck the officer in the chest."

Then the laying on of hands - FauxNews:

"McKinney ignored the officer's requests more than once, the sources said, and the officer placed his hand on McKinney's shoulder."

Now, he's grabbing her arm from behind -- Hotline:

"When the officer caught up to McKinney, he grabbed her by the arm. McKinney pulled her arm away, swung around, cell phone in hand, and punched the officer square in the chest, according to the witness."

Something anyone might act defensively about.

The further you get from a possibly biased source, the closer you get to improper use of force.

61. Totally lalme: ..police claim she him him with a call phone...
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 03:47 AM by autorank
It just hit me how totally lame a statement that is. Was it one of those 1980's cell phones, you know the ones that weighed 4 pounds...or...one of those "razor" phones that weighs virtually nothing. Did she just tap him with the phone or haul off and smack him?

I don't know about you ruffians, but a cell phone is not a preferred weapon in any confrontation.
"Hey buddy, stand back or I'll clock you with my Sayno!"

The biggest threat the cell phone represents is the ability to call your lawyer for a consultation.

One final point...we're tres techie here in the DC Metro area. The internet and all that got started and is operated here, to a large degree. Everyone, including kids, has a cell phone. In fact, we had the cell phone bandit, a woman who talked on her cell phone while she robbed banks. The cell conversations had nothing to do with the heists, she was just multitasking. I suspect McKinney, a long time resident, has the same reverence for her cell as the rest of us. She'd never use it to hit someone. She might lose here stored numbers, a fate worse than death itself since nobody backs up their phone;) Lets be reasonable here.

The police need a new story...

65. Could it have anything to do with march on Saturday?
Thousands of people from across the region are expected in Atlanta on Saturday for the Southern Regional March for Peace in Iraq and Justice at Home.

"We believe it will be a major event because the call both to end the war and pay attention to domestic issues here — health care, Katrina — has resonated with many," said Ann Mauney of Atlanta, one of the organizers.

The march begins at noon at the King Center and proceeds to Piedmont Park for a rally featuring such speakers as the Rev. Joseph Lowery; U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.); Ann Wright, a former Army colonel and diplomat who resigned her position in opposition to the war; and Damu Smith, the co-founder of Black Voices for Peace.

113. EXATCLY. There is a difference between "punched" and "shoved away"
Notice how all the articles use the word "punched" - that makes it a NEWS story.

If they accurately described the incident with the word "shoved" or "pushed away" - there would be NO story.

This is bullshit racism. She is being set up by the "language" falsly/biasedly describing the incident.

More importantly, it's kind of hard to "punch" someone in the chest with a cellphone in your grip WITHOUT risking hurting your hand or damaging/dropping the cell phone. This is what leads me to believe what happened would better be described as a "shove".

i'm a bit surprised.

ok, i'll try again: the Capitol Police Department is an entity that SOLELY has jurisdiction on Capitol Hill & , for some odd reason i don't remember, one of the monuments. THEY AREN'T "POLICE". they are trained at FLETC, Glynco, GA for 1 purpose only. MOST OF THEIR TRAINING IS IN PROTOCOL. they're like the Buckingham Palace Guard.

there is NO WAY IN HELL that a Capitol Police Officer is going to grapple w/ a congressperson. w/o prior immunity, it wd mean the end of his career.

i knew most of the Capitol Police when i was working as a fed in DC. i met several when i was in training @ FLETC. this wd not have happened except under THIS administration.

You don't fuck around with Capitol Police anymore. They aren't just there for decoration, I can assure you that.

And like I said before, they treated REPUBLICAN Congressman C.W. Bill Young's (one of the most powerful men in Washington, no less) wife the same way.

I'm sorry, but you have a very, VERY hard time convincing me that this is a Republican conspiracy to get McKinney.

Furthermore, there is little excuse for her acting the way she did. She knew she didn't have her pin on. She knows not EVERY guard recognizes her. It's not their fault she was running late to a meeting. They are there to protect HER and they were doing their job by making her go through the metal detector. She is in the wrong in this and there's really no two ways about it. SHE'S even issued an apology for it, so I'm not sure where the dilemma is here.

9/11- i FORGOT about that for a minute.

i'll repeat GS9/11 uniform flunkies do NOT grab congresspersons. i don't know about the incident involving this republican's spouse, but let me guess; nobody accused her of striking any1, did they?

you're right about 1 thing, though: before this administration nobody wd have dared try this kind of a cheapshot character assassination on a person of McKinney's rank. i wonder where the "officer" in question will be transfered? my guess is it will include a paygrade & a nice plainclothes assignment, maybe w/ DHS.

the question being pondered here is not whether there was an indiscretion (& proper apology) but whether this has been misrepresented to undermine the effectiveness of one of the administration's fiercest opponents.

i've watched these pissants paint Max Cleland & Kerry, both decorated veterans, as cowards and ruin their careers. i certainly suspect they intend the same in McKinney's case.

if this is so clearcut to you, what's your interest in continuing this discussion?

103. I cannot believe that Cynthia McKinney, if she did in any sense "hit" a
Capitol Hill policeman, did so unprovoked. More likely, she was responding instinctively to a threat--he suddenly grabbed her arm and she pushed him away, etc.

Two, it is simply NOT believable that THE most visible and identifiable member of Congress was not recognized.

Three, she presented ID.

Four, as autorank points out, cell phones these days are almost as thin and light as credit cards. They are hardly a "weapon." "She hit him with her cell phone" is laughable.

Five, a member of Congress is not just anybody; she is a top government official, with (among other things) powers of impeachment, and with special protections WRITTEN INTO THE US CONSTITUTION, and she has a DUTY to preserve herself from assault.

Five--probably most important of all--she is a dangerously intelligence and courageous black woman, who has "called" the junta and its Democratic colluders on their biggest pieces of bullshit: election fraud, the 9/11 'report,' and Katrina.

Although her constituents (direct constituents, and supporters around the country--and we are MANY) will certainly NOT buy this bullshit Drudge/Faux News story and, on the contrary, can only stand back in admiration of this scene--tough, street-smart black congresswoman will NOT be touched, and will NOT be impeded, by disrespectful white cop--the purpose of the incident, and, at the least, the purpose of the "spin" on it, is to paint Congresswoman McKinney as "crazy" and "unstable." Truth-telling women, especially truth-telling black women, are often treated this way. I don't think it will harm her at all with real people--and may enhance her aura among the beaten down, demoralized, disenfranchised majority. But they will try to use it in their newsstream (illusory) BushWorld scenarios, to marginalize her and the big American majority that she represents. In truth, she should be president. Her views are closer to those of most Americans than almost anyone else in government.

I think she will win in the end, though. Think about this: Who would you yourself rely on and trust, in a tangle with the fascist security state--Cynthia McKinney or, say, Dick Cheney? Or, who would you entrust the Social Security fund to--Cynthia McKinney or Bill Frist? Or, who would be more likely to defend this country in a crisis--Cynthia McKinney or George Bush?

Their newsstream illusions are beginning to wear very thin--and I think there may be quite a number of people these days who, learning of this incident, even if it is painted as an unprovoked cop-bashing, will be whispering in their hearts, "You go, girl."

Who has been one of the most outspoken, if not the most outspoken proponents of an Independent investigation on September 11th?

Guess what? ---> The FIRST resource to report this was?

Bueller?

Bueller?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Yes! It was in the Drudge Report.

Rove sends all his SLIME trial balloons via his good buddy Matt Drudge's disgusting web site. This one stinks with both lies and mis-information. However, if you don't know that Drudge is Rove's favorite way to initially release smear (swift boating) campaigns against his political enemies, you've been living under a rock for the last six years. ;)

"According to DrudgeReport.com, the entire incident is on tape. Drudge said, "The cop is pressing charges, and the USCP (United States Capitol Police) are waiting until Congress adjourns to arrest her, a source claims."

These bastards are going to get "a recoil" from this story. Even the average American sheeple is becoming tired of their same old tired M.O. to discredit anyone who crosses them.

After a while it's not difficult to understand such smarmy tactics.

131. Not buying it

It seems the evidence against Cynthia is mainly from Anonymous sources. We do know that Cynthia McKinney has enemies on both sides of the aisle. Something about her speaking the truth to power makes a lot of people uncomfortable.

If a man came up behind me and grabbed me I would hit him too. That's just having good reflexes.
