OMG this thread is HILARIOUS! Basically -- some FR dork practically breaks his arm patting himself on the back for asking to pose with Al Franken and then "making a face" in the photo.

This scores high on the FR Scale Of Wit.

Then he does all this Lovey-Dovey schmooz crapola re: Annthrax (again pix with her & the DORK, her looking more hagged out than usual with 2 inch black roots)

Then he goes on to say that she WON the debate (yeah right) with "pure logic" only 95% of the audience didn't THINK so, so they were obviously "Osama fan club members"

OOOOOH BROTHER! It is funny though. I'm begining to think they all have something wrong with them, I mean, WRONG.

I was there last night. I don't know how she was at the after-party, but Ann seemed out of it last night. She was not her usual sharp and cheerful self. She was tense and on the defensive. Franken was more relaxed. Perhaps it was the hostile crowd, but I understand that Ann thrives in front of hostile crowds. She seemed under the weather.

Franken's pitch was pretty much the standard liberal BS talking points. Bush lied to get us into Iraq, gave tax cuts to the wealthy, we need universal health care. He threw in a few cheepshots against Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich too. He's an *******, pure and simple.

The crowd was unbelievably rude and I was stuck right in with a bunch of Franken fans. There was one lady in particular who sat right in front of me. She hooted throughout the performance. I felt like telling her to STFU but I didn't.

the only thing I remember was that Coulter made a really racist, nasty comment at the pre-debate dinner which was attended by media people (I think) and sponsors)...something about her not having any clean towels at her hotel that day because all the immigrants were out protesting.

Al said the wait staff at the dinner didn't look too pleased. I hope one of them peed in her soup!

Actually, I was actually respectful with Franken considering how irritated I was with him and the treason lobby in attendance.

Franken and company were extremely nasty to Ann well before one of our guys shot back with "boring!"

I was going to say something brutal to but I decided to hold my tongue...or...at least stop myself from saying what Ithought of him since.

If I said to Franken what I wanted to say, it might have been way "over the top". I think my facial expression was quite respectful compared to my other restraints.

For the record, Franken didn't come close to "winning" the debate. Anyone who understands the rules of logic would have been embarrassed by "Franken's Fallacies" (ad hominem, petitio prin., etc.).

Just because 95% of the crowd are members of the Osama fan club (therefore they cheered for Franken and screamed and cussed at Coulter), doesn't mean Franken came close to a cogent thought.

Make no mistake, even while refusing to entertain Franken's ad hominem attacks, Ann Coulter obliterated Franken by any standard of pure reason.
