Some of us here view CNN. In fairness, some of us here view Fox. In any case, when you consider CNN anchor Daryn Kagan, Rush's girlfriend (or former girlfriend, if rumors are true), I'm heartened by this news:
TV Newser: Zain Verjee Coming To D.C. For CNN
"Zain Verjee, Atlanta-based anchor for CNN International," is joining the mothership, Broadcasting & Cable reports. "...Verjee will exit CNNI Friday, take off two weeks, then return April 16 as a CNN general correspondent, based in Washington, according to a network source."

CNN: Zain Verjee
Since joining CNN International in 2000, Verjee has covered numerous breaking news and world events such as the Agra Summit, the conflict in the Middle East, the trial of former Yugoslav leader Slobodan Milosevic, the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Hajj and the war in Iraq. She also reports on African business news for the weekly program Inside Africa, which offers an in-depth look into news on the Continent.
Previously, Verjee anchored the prime time news bulletin and compiled, produced and presented documentaries for the Kenyan Television Network (KTN). She also hosted The Third Opinion, a political talk show. In addition to her work at KTN, Verjee freelanced for the BBC, producing several programs including African Perspectives, a 30-minute documentary on the desegregation of non-governmental organizations.
Verjee's journalistic efforts extend beyond the broadcast realm. She recently published Live and On the Air, a children's book exploring the experiences of a young girl who moves from rural Kenya to Nairobi to work as a broadcaster. Verjee has also produced successful radio campaigns spreading awareness of HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B and polio.
Her community efforts include work with Street Children, Operation Smile and Violence Against Women.
Verjee received her undergraduate degree in English from McGill University, Montreal, and studied at York University, Canada, as well. She speaks Gujarati, Kiswahili and conversational French.
