What Lieberman just doesn't understand...
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 03:41 PM by jsamuel
Two married couples buy a cake from a store.

The men declare they have the right to whole of the cake.
One woman demands that they share the cake 50-50.
The other woman thinks, "I'll be the smart, honorable, high-minded one here," and then says "Let's compromise, and we will divide it 25-75."
The men say that is fine with them and they eat 75% of the cake.
The first woman is now upset with the other woman and says "I don't like what you just did."
The other woman says, "Why? Compromising is the right thing to do."

On Edit: (This isn't about Iraq Joe)

The men agree to split the cake 50/50 but then eat it all. The first woman asks the other "Why did you let them do that?" The other woman answers, "They're going to be our husbands for the next 4 years, so we'd better not question their authority."

And then, she gets herself a regular gig on the radio program, "Why men are better than women."

3. What LIEberman does understand...he's going to lose the primary.
Great analogy on compromise.

I think LIEberman will get testier and testier. He may well lose the primary, he certainly will be embarrassed by a large percentage of defections. He's so locked into his "masters" that he can't be much in life is he can't deliver the goods; conversely, he can't be much with the constituents if he continues to deliver the goods for * co. Nice one Joe.
