Who had the nerve to question Dean being brought before this "august" body. I don't think I'm going to be able to watch much more of this.

The Dems are standing up Feingold. It's their desire to put the junior member of the committee in his place.

18. FYI - Leahy & Russ made excellent opening statements - C-Span
did not carry them live. Surprise, surprise. Instead C-Span yammered on and on about college basketball.

Now going to witnesses - the repugs always have a ready supply of liars on speed dial to "testify" for their idea of Constitutional powers for their guys.

I hate this GD bunch of a$$wipes. If we don't take back this government in November there will be nothing left to save.

Kennedy, Biden, Feinstein, Schumer and Durbin had better be hauling ass and getting behind Leahy and Feingold.

24. Why do we let them twist the purpose of the ammendment?
The point is that Shrub blatently lied to the Am. people and Congress, not whether or not the law needs fixed. The law as it stands may not be good, but he is not above the law. If I break a bad law, I still get punished.

30. I love when law professors reference fictional parts of the
constitution. "Censured the wrong person". Congress, for passing laws, apparently deserves to be censured for doing their constitutional duty to ensure American citizens are not being arbitrarily subject to tyranny.

The subject is not the surveillance of foreign terrorists, its the surveillance of citizens we need to make sure we do with respect for the law.

U of Virginia churns out another rightwing-flak. I hope they didn't burn their constitution in the law department because they obviously left this guy behind.
