Here's what I replied to them.
The Democrats in Congress are fundraising? Let me see...how many of them supported Russ Feingold's censure resolution? 2? you say? That is exactly how many will EVER get my money. Did Marie support Feingold's censure resolution? NO? That's too bad. You can remove me from Marie's mailing list because she will NEVER get one more penny of my money and I maxed out on donations to Wes Clark. I'm GENEROUS. Too bad the Democrats don't represent me anymore.. Perhaps you can contact the "sensible center" moderates you think you need to win elections. Good luck with that. They WILL NOT get you elected! The PROGRESSIVES are THE PARTY.
Sorry...get your money from someone else. I'm ready to clean house in the Senate. They're all useless.
REMOVE MY NAME FROM YOUR LIST.
Thanks.

Dear ******,
On Tuesday, Senator Barack Obama's email asked for your help before tonight's critical fundraising deadline. The response from our online community was incredible, and in a single day we raised over $100,000, shattering our previous online record.
Every time this community has been asked to act, you have come through for us. My fight to be re-elected, the fight to protect the environment, and the fight to take back the U.S. Senate are going to be tough, but knowing that you are there and ready to respond gives me great confidence.
As Senator Obama told you earlier this week, tonight is a critical deadline for my campaign. Midnight is the cut-off for first quarter fundraising and everybody -- the Republicans, the media and even donors in our own party -- are going to be looking to see if we have the funds to fight off an opponent with millions of his own money to spend. Tonight is our chance to tell the Republicans working for my defeat that we will never back down.
The deadline is just hours away and I need your help: Make an urgent contribution before the deadline
I've been called a lot of things during my career in public service; it goes with the job. The Republicans are especially shrill when they are facing defeat. This year, with the Republicans fuming over our on-going work to save the Arctic Refuge and our work to protect millions of acres of pristine land from development, some of the comments have been really quite memorable.
But there is only one label that worries me this year, and that is "top target." I don't blame the Republicans for saying I'm number one on their "must defeat" list, and quite frankly I'm proud of earning that distinction. However, I know that we can't underestimate the battle that is coming. We all know that they will throw everything they have at us this year, in a last ditch attempt to hold on to power. So we need to tell them right now that we are prepared to fight back.
I need your help before midnight tonight, to send that message: Make an urgent contribution before the deadline
Sincerely,
Maria Cantwell
