4. "Grandstanding on Censure" (???) Another view:
"Feingold has actually given the weak-kneed Dems a second chance
I think that another dimension here is that the Democrats have been given a second chance to make up for their past collusion with the White House here.

In any event, if the Democrats will not stand up to a President who has clearly broken the law that he was sworn to uphold and to defend the Constitution of the United States which has been clearly violated then who needs them?"

Leahy was the only dem who showed up. Go to Russ' site at url below to read about the shame of the dinos.

9. For those not skilled in video tech, please write Russ an email now. The
cowardly Dems didn't show up, Shame, shame, shame.

"Sick and sad by the cowardly DINOs hiding in the basement.

Your opening speech was outstanding and will keep the transcript. We need to begin a Third Party right away. Reid and other Dinos are trying to get rid of the grassroots Democratic candidates and we need a real people's party.

I am sick of the Republicrats. I doubt if any Progressives will now vote for the DLC approved candidates so, at last, a real Second Political Party can be a viable alternative to the Senators who have no clothes for their shame.

I still remember the Green Party Recount when the Dems went into hiding over the election fraud of 2004. The Democratic party is gone and we are now realizing it but it is the perfect opportunity to begin a real political party that is the voice of Americans not the corporations.

Thank you, sir, for your courage. It will be remembered 30 and more years from now and importantly in the 2008 Presidential election (if we can get rid of blackboxvoting).

Challenge Reid, he is not doing his job at all and we need someone who will. Thank you for stepping into the breech left by Reid for all Americans.

18. I can't express the disgust I feel with the 'loyal opposition'
it's making me physically ill, especially when compared to the organized eight year campaign against WJC, and how this campaign mode has continued ever since, applied against any and all who dare oppose the fascist agenda

14. Will try to look at your vid later, my computer froze when I was trying to
listen to John Dean's response.

Russ has 3 audios on his Senate website, opening speech, first and second round of questions. The audio will not take up as much space and downloaded easily and this will be a day to live in infamy and Russ' courage should be preserved on progressive computers across the land, in case there is a history to remember his lonely courage.

The Russ for Prez site below talks about the shame of only Leahy of all the Dems even showing up at the Censure hearings about bushco's spying on all of us and breaking the law but after the cowardice of the Alito hearings and All the dems but Leahy and Feingold voting for the Patriot Act with no amendments to protect our rights should show everyone that the dems exist in name only and we have to find an alternative.

15. I liked it so well that I looked up the lyrics...
I need a hero

Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream
of what I need

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life

Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach
There's someone reaching back for me
Racing on the thunder end rising with the heat
It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet

Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I would swear that there's someone somewhere
Watching me

Through the wind end the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
I can feel his approach
Like the fire in my blood

20. It's perfect so far, but you do need an end! He's truly my hero. I'm
going to be writing letters this weekend to the Democrats on the committee and my own two. I wrote them about ten days ago and told them if they wouldn't stand with Russ, to just come on home and stop wasting taxpaper money since the Senate and House are no longer equal parts of the government under a 'unitary executive'!

23. Love it!
It would be great if you could subtitle some of the images. When I saw the picture with the clowns, I thought to myself, "And here Senator Feingold chats with some of his colleagues from across the aisle." LOL!

The only problem I had with it was—and I'm sure that this is just me—as a child of the '80s, I did cringe a bit, considering the song selection came from the Footloose soundtrack. Is there any other song that sends the same message, but is slightly less...era-limited? How about "Get Up, Stand Up" by Bob Marley? Or "The Times They are a-Changin'" by Bob Dylan?

Other than that, outstanding!

35. Dogday - Nice work!
I loved the pics -- especially the one with him reading with the kids (and the book is right-side-up!) and the one where he is walking in a small town parade and waving to the people watching. I cannot imagine either of my Senators (Dem or Repub) actually *visiting* my town, much less walking in a parade.

Can you end it with link to Russ' Progressive PAC -- nothing says thanks like a donation does -- and that is what increases his stature within the party.
