6. Crap, I hate this. I leave for work at 5:30 a.m. It's only been the last
two or three weeks that it's been light when I'm almost at work (I take three buses). Now I'll be sent back into the dark again.

I'd rather have my extra hour of light at the beginning of the day, not the end.

7. technically, one turns the clocks at 2 am sunday morning --but of course
many people do it before retiring on sat night, or ooooops, sunday morning when they realize they forgot yet again.

one of the places I worked--we could always count on people being late this sunday, and then being early when the clocks turn back in oct.

16. The official explanation is that we don't need
another hour of sunlight during the sweltering summer months. I think that there's enough to confuse us in our lives, there's no reason to mess with the hour hand every six months too. :)

I wish we would adopt it year round like we did briefly in the 70's.

11. Oh, not again.
I have to set my alarm an hour back. From 5:30 am to 4:30 am. The only good thing is I get to eat lunch an hour earlier.

Some people are so dumb they think the sun raises and sets an hour later. Lets leave things on standard time the year around.

12. I reset ONE
I'm conservative at times, wouldn't want to rush off willy-nilly just resetting clocks wantonly, screaming through the house, with my arms flailing overhead.
You know.

13. Actually
Edited on Sat Apr-01-06 12:40 AM by drm604
this year, due to the extra-rapid equinoctial precession (possibly due to global warming and the melting ice caps), we're only supposed to turn them ahead 58 minutes. See here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x811722

15. Alaska used to have 4 time zones.
Now we only have 2.

and for the life of me, I still can't figure out why we need Daylight Savings Time. We're already up to over 13 hours..........

Seriously, the change was made to put the state more in line with the Lower 48 for financial (banking, stock market, etc.) purposes after the pipeline. Today, with the internet, it makes no sense.

We lose daylight in winter and gain it in summer.

Stupid.

Why, I bet some of us Hoosiers here have NEVER had to dick with your clocks! If you're younger than 40, it's a sure thing.
