Did those folks in Reykjavik deserve exactly what they got when King George took away their NATO base.

2. They are friendly
but they don't let undocumented workers flood the country, drive down wages, and put pressure on their health care and education systems. Neither does any other sane country on this earth.

4. And are the illegal immigrants supposed to swim there?
If so, we can start comparing.

5. Let's just open the borders to anyone
Let tens of millions into the country during a time when job creation in the private sector is declining. Don't bother with health screening or criminal background checks. Just open it up so anyone who wants can just walk across the border. Oh, I forgot. That's what we're doing now.

:sarcasm:

6. No, you're trying to compare Iceland to the USA as if they're comparable
Iceland is an island. Iceland does not have a border, let alone an impoverished border. Iceland does not have millions here already. This is not even a close comparison, Elwood.

7. But in most ways they're no different than other countries
Try to sneak into Mexico and see what happens if you are caught. You go to freaking prison.

8. The GOP is crying election year foul all of a sudden.
They have no problem with cheap labor in any other year. How about going after the large employers who hire these folks? Just follow the mop and pail. Also. I have a better chance sneaking into Mexico than into Iceland.
