Well, CNN pretty much saying that Jill Carroll was forced...
...to make remarks against the American occupation. Apparantely her father said that she had to make those statements to be released.

CNN actually put up a graphic that said PROPOGANDA?.

Anyways, you can email them now. They will read some of those emails later on in their show.

2. CNN=FAUX
I mean, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that there are two shadows to either side of her, and the one on the left of the screen is probably not holding a broom or a mop!

6. I meant to put an = sign, you beat me to it

:)

I am thrilled that she is safe and I am thrilled that she was not punished in the manner that GW approves of, TORTURE.

When I first heard her saying that no one beat her or treated her mean, I thought---ROVE ain't gonna like her saying that, that will have to be cleared up quick.

Someone in Amerika will think that she was treated fairly and those mean terrorists were being decent to our prisoner ~

An Snappo!

I'm not sure we will ever learn the TRUTH

3. I think it was obvious by both her tone and demeanor that she was coerced.
Why do so many on DU insist she really liked her captors? Her interpretor was killed right in front of her for god's sake! Why on earth do some insist that all the insurgents must be good people? I don't believe that anymore than I believe Bush's reasons for going to Iraq!

9. No, no, no--not the Baghdad interview, the internet tape
People are confusing the two. Before she was released, she did a tape IN CAPTIVITY. She is facing the camera, you see two shadows to either side. She makes statements about the war and the mujehedin. It is CLEAR that she is damn near reading the thing.

The interview, where the reporter asks her questions, is another thing entirely. That's Jill, for real.

12. That first tape wasn't released until after the second interview
thus causing the confusion. Many people have been talking at cross-purposes, having seen the interview tape, and not having seen the gun-to-her-head-off-camera tape.

She and CSM are going to issue a statement shortly, within the hour. Should clear up a bit of the brouhaha. Hope she got some sleep during he GE layover and on the plane ride home.

I don't want to believe that anyone on DU believes that the terrorists are nice people! They are horrors of the worst order.

What I do believe is that our Media is controlled by ROVE/big business and we are not told the real TRUTH.

Jessica Lynch is a good example, she finally had to speak out for herself.

Tillman's story would not have been questioned a bit, the Media invented the story they wanted and it stood up for a long time, wasn't it his father that started the TRUTH rolling?
