That's exactly what is happening now and always happens when they generate a distraction. It is annoying yet, somehow enough people keep their eyes on the prize and still keep fighting the good fights.

I think everyone should just stop watching TV news completely. I have the channels filtered out of my list on my cable box and I am much calmer and happier. When the latest blonde goes missing I don't even learn her name and I love it.

People can handle more than one thought at the same time. I do agree it's frustrating when you see otherwise intelligent people get distracted by the latest shiny object.

Fuck Bush! Fuck his laugh his bad posture, his nasl voice, his pop culture ignorance, his fake Texas accent, his deteriorating brain. Fuck his disrespect to Helen Thomas and to the press in general. Immigration is an important issue. At least as important as Iraq and a helluva lot more important than the useless gesture that is censure. 11 million people in this country basically working a slave wage and you call that a "distraction" ????

I can't fathom that Karl wants us talking about illegal immigration, because it exposes Bush for the corporate ass-licker he is. It exposes how he doesn't care about the American worker, or about a strong middle class. Shines a big bright spotlight on the war on the middle class.
