WHO IS YOUR FAV LIBERAL TALK RADIO HOST?
I'm partial to Malloy cuz he gets me so furious about everything I'm ALREADY furious about. But the host whom I learn the most from would have to be Thom Hartman. His show is so well researched and Thom is just so knowledgeable. I also enjoy Sam Seder. My least fav is Jerry Springer. Dont get me wrong, I think Jerry's a nice guy but I can't stand how he often cowtows to the reich who call his show and how he agreed to "debate" Hannity (his friend) knowing that he cant debate.

He's on late at night.

I actually like Gene Burns, who comes on before him. He's a Libertarian who voted for Kerry because he didn't like Bush. He's interesting, too. Kind of a pompous ass but, unlike O'Really, he's pretty intelligent. He makes me think outside my box.

I particularly enjoy Welton Gaddy on State of Belief (on Air America), and Robert Kennedy Jr.'s "Ring of Fire," the show he does with Pap.

I listen to Randi, Mike Malloy, Thom Hartmann, Sam Seder, Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, and Al Franken, of course. I also listen to Stacey Taylor and his team on the local 1360 Air America affiliate. I listen to Scooter, Craig, and Jon Elliot on their shows on the same affiliate.

19. I agree with your choices...
Sam is the one I can most readily listen to, though I really enjoy Thom Hartman and agree he is the most knowledgeable. On the weekends, I try not to miss Bobby Kennedy Jr and Mike Pap on RIng of Fire. Great duo.

Boy, I couldn't agree more on Springer. I have always hated having someone "explain" to me the obvious-- especially when they know far less than I. That is how Springer always strikes me--like a precocious kid. His celebrity got him the show, but wouldn't you think he could learn to google, for God's sake? Or at least hire staff that would keep him up to date? As for his "inclusiveness," while he is certainly "gentlemanly" and keeps his cool with the RW nutcases, I can't help but think they are taking him for a fool...

I like Malloy, Randi and Garofolo too. But each gets my BP up sometimes, so i have to "enjoy" them all in moderation.

I still miss Marc Maron on Morning Sedition. His former sidekick just can't keep my iterest by himself. I really enjoyed the mix of politics with humor. I know he has a show out in LA, but I've rarely been able to get a stream to "hold" on my medium speed broadband connection and he's on too late for me anyway.

30. I have a confession to make. I can only receive Stephanie Miller on the
local am station when I'm in the car in certain areas. When I arrive home after taking my kids to school I park in my driveway so that I can listen for a few minutes longer and my younger cat jumps onto the car and then gets in and listens with me!! My husband and kids didn't believe it until they saw her do it and if it's really cold and I park in the garage and come into the house, she acts all pissy for a while. I have a friend who finds this a laugh riot!

I love Randi, Malloy, Sedar & Garofilo (sp?), and Ring of Fire on the weekends. When Thom Hartmann is subbing for someone on XM I really enjoy listening to him.

Perhaps I should ask the cat who her 2nd favorite is?

61. Stephaneeeeeee Milleeeeeeerrrr!!
It sucks that I have to go to school when she's on, but the times I do get to listen in I make sure I'm not eating or drinking anything since she and her two producers/boytoys are major choking hazard. I especially like it when one of her producers starts impersonating either "hick axe murderer" Alberto Gonzales or "human muppet" Newt Gingrich

I guess second is Sam Seder who is really coming in on his own with his direct, exasperated, no nonsense delivery and his ability to be obsessively on top of blog activities and their valuable, up-to-the-minute information.

Mike Malloy's not "left of center" or a "progressive". He's a lib-er-al and and angry one at that who doesn't give a damn what those fascists think of him. In the age of equivocating liberals he's invaluable.

Randi exceeds Ed Schultz because she's been a pioneer in the liberal radio business before Big Eddie decided to differentiate himself (or saw the light, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt) so she's a lot more knowledgeable and unforgiving of the reich-wingers than Eddie, although I kinda hate how she monopolize the show from the viewers who call in. Ed's better in this area since he readily lets the viewers vent or give valuable info, like the one on Monday where the IRS guy talked about how Bush shut down a program that monitors if businesses are hiring illegals.

Lack of time, an Ipod and a 56K modem prevents me from hearing the rest in any good length of time, although Rachel Maddow makes for a great anchorperson for the day.
