One of the mose admired United States Marine Corps Generals of all time!

Zinni's NOT a political animal in any respect ... not clearly Democratic nor Republican, but for the accomplishment of the mission in concurrence with the welfare of his beloved troops. He never signed onto this invasion, unlike the present coven of spring-butt General Officers in the Pentagon to date.

He NEVER blessed this diversion and his clear points made perfect sense to us Average Americans who listened.

All Marines, Officer and Enlisted, respect the wisdom of General (Ret.) Zinni.

May God Bless Him Now more than ever.

Us "little people" with sons and daughters risking their life in the ME deserve no less than an intelligent and straight talking Military Leader.

14. Correction on my part ...

I have listened to Zinni on several occasions and miss him stating a party affiliation.

I stand corrected <blush> for he did state that he usually votes Moderate Republican BUT he also considers the individual running.

Albeit, I'm surprised a little, I'm also not disappointed - what we need is us Radical Middle of the Country to stand up against the Nut case fringes, mostly the Right Wing Religious Zealots.

Go Moderates of all stripes! I apologize for my assumption that he was politically neutral. Yes, on that I was wrong.

11. I have a little complaint

he keeps making it sound like it is possible for the US to "win hearts and minds" of Iraqis. I am sorry but that train left in 2003. The is no hope of salvaging a fucking thing in Iraq. We need to bring the troops home now.
