Poll question: Rate the Democrats' current response to Repuke Corruption/Implosion
It is true...the Puke party is imploding. It is getting desperate and does one unpopular, waffly thing after another. We have heard for months that the dems are simply going along with it, saying nothing, doing nothing, just letting it happen. Are they capitalizing on it as they should? Are they filling the guff? As of today, rate the democrats job in getting ready for November!

1. I'm confused by the poll - has there been a Democratic response?
Other than Feingold and the few people supporting him, I'm not seeing much, if anything. You'd almost think the Democratic Party doesn't exist, they're being so quiet about it.

I find this very frustrating. My only hope is that they're planning something, and the timing isn't right just yet. The drawback is this would require planning on the part of the Democrats, and we know they don't do that very well!

2. I was referring to things like Feingold's move
But is there anything else? I get e-mails from Harry Reid and John Kerry all the time, talking about the big fight they are putting up. I am not seeing much on the ground. Of course, they are also full of little buttons to click to give money. The histrionics in those e-mails can be quite amusing. I guess they want us to think that they are doing something.

4. I tell them they'll get more money from me when I see some
ACTION on their part. No action, no money.

I'm tired of donating when my input seems to be ignored. We have Republicans in office who do a great job of ignoring our needs, I'll be damned if I send money to Democrats so they can do the same thing!

You want money? DO SOMETHING TO EARN IT!!

6. This is why they don't call me anymore...I told them pretty much the same
thing. You want money? You better earn it. The dems seem to think that there is this "base" out there that they can automatically take for granted, to send them bucks and vote for them. Yellow dogs. There are some, no doubt, who will do just that. I am not one of them, and I fear that the Dems seriously overestimate the amount of blind support they have.

10. Ditto.
The last call I got was a canned spiel about how 'well we are doing as a party' and I laughed out loud at the woman on the other end. She stopped cold. I then basically told her the same as you: this source has dried up until these people get off their asses and do their jobs. Not one penny otherwise.

3. I don't know - some of this stuff it's better not to respond to
When your opponent is busy hanging himself, don't get in his way and all that.

And Democrats were hardly silent on the ports deal and on the immigration debate.

They're still cowards.

7. You mean like Joementum's recent hissy
in the interview with McEnroe interview, where sounded like a Repuke fit when backed into a corner?

8. As an opposition party they've been marginalized...
Maybe they are between a rock and a hard place here, but I figure if you're going out anyway, go out in a blaze of glory. The whole situation proves how tighly controlled all of our lawmakers are by the corporate elite.

9. The only thing I can come up with is that they are afraid.
Almost 7 out of 10 people are against this President, and the 'do nothing' Democrats are afraid. I really don't know what to think anymore.

13. How do the Republicans control the Democrats?
I think instaed of name calling, we ought to look at who holds the reins of power and how that affects us, how theyre using them.
Anybody here NOT think the Repubs are wiretapping the Dems?
they sure did back in Nixon Days and these are a lot more desperate times.
I think the Republicans are using every dirty trick in their extensive quiver to screw us every way they can, some of which we probably don't even know.
not just wiretaapping but I think they have their agents provovcateurs to make us look atupid--theyve done this before. I think they have their bloggers out there running interference and smoke screens.
And I think they have plenty of bought off people in the media. Just look at the way the media uniformly talks about the Democrats--in disarray, with no Plan, no Leader--right off the Republican Talking Points.
We know the Republicans have their boughtoff Armstrong Williamses and others we don't know about. We know the US military pays for favorable stories in the Iraqi press. Why hasn't anyone figured out that thats what the Republicans have done to the American Media--imbedded their own people and bought off the rest? Is that hard to believe?
the Republicans have a K Street Project going for the media like they have for the lobbyists and its better hidden.
