Did Karl order the TV cameras not to follow the ball????
Edited on Mon Apr-03-06 01:24 PM by DeepModem Mom
They reported on CNN that the catcher caught the ball, but we saw nothing except the pitcher -- Shrub!!! I've watched a lot of baseball season first balls being thrown out, but never like this. You always see the pitch, and the catch -- or lack thereof.

(Bush threw out the ball today, in Cincinnati.)

ON EDIT: CNN now showing the catch, and reporting the ball was "high and inside."

1. Must have been rolled across the field ...
.... either that or he was standing 10 feet in front of Georgie.

Or maybe they gave him a tennis ball like the nice Cricket folks in India last month ...

2. Hey, it's a new insult!
Instead of admonishing boys that they "throw like girls," we can warn girls and boys alike not to "throw like Bush."

4. Perhaps
some of our Cincinnati DUers who were there or know someone who was there can tell us how far the ball fell short of the Catcher and how many people snickered in the stands at GirlyGuy's Girly Arm "pitch". :-)

9. If he'd been facing a right-handed batter
the ball would have floated behind him.

The WGN camera showed the whole pitch, but the ball sailed out of frame.

6. In defense of * (I never thought I'd be saying THAT!)...
It is 60 ft. 9 in.

I highly doubt that I could get off a decent pitch at sixty feet...

12. Correct-O
It looks easy...but if your on the mound of a regulation diamond...it's quite a pitch to get it there with any accuracy. Lot of things in sports look easy, until you do it...like cricket pitching...looks wimpy, until you get a bat in your hand :scared:

13. He's ordered the news media to not cover anything
Bush does unless they can put a "positive spin" on it.

14. Did he have his sleeves rolled up?
Or was he wearing a baseball uniform with a couple pairs of socks stuffed in the crotch?

15. He had on a team warm-up jacket, sleeves down, and no stuffed...
socks, that I noticed, in non-uniform pants.
