Reuters: Bush said likely to replace Treasury chief Snow
Bush said likely to replace Treasury chief Snow

By Caren Bohan and Glenn Somerville

WASHINGTON, April 3 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush looks increasingly likely
to replace Treasury Secretary John Snow and is considering former lawmakers and
some Wall Street executives to succeed him, Republican sources said on Monday.

The Bush administration wants a more compelling figure than Snow to lead its effort
to highlight the economy's strength in the hope of bolstering Republican chances
in November's congressional elections, the sources said.

A Republican in frequent contact with the White House said there have been discussions
about trying to attract Goldman Sachs Chief Executive Henry Paulson for the job,
which would bring Wall Street savvy to the post.

2. hmm oneil, snow....
the next in line should be, based on the series
a guy named "blow" or "cokehead". Then the next guy
should be like "cracker" and finally "jefferson Crackhead"
the greatest future treasury monkey to every turn the
crank of the old organ.

He'll be the one who privatizes the elementary schools,
and opens drugs-company sponsored health clinics with mandatory
perscriptions for all children in K-12 education.

Finally, the last great treasury nutter will have a
name like "utterly insane"... he'll sell off the country to
the highest bidder and retire in china.

3. LOL. It's not about finding someone more CAPABLE for the job
Edited on Mon Apr-03-06 08:58 PM by Harvey Korman
It's about finding someone more "compelling" to "highlight the economy's strength" (*snort*) so they can win elections.

Since it's all just advertising and PR, they should just subcontract the entire government out to Bates Worldwide, Ogilvy, and Ketchum. :eyes:
