11. DeLay did the dirty work of redistricting and strong-arming people
for some years. The GOP is done with him, but they have to be gentle with booting him out of office.

He will drag them down if he stays, but if they boot him too hard he can tell all and that would be the end of a lot of careers if the press knew what DeLay knows about a lot of GOP fatcats and Congresscritters.

So I imagine a juicy feet-on-the-desk, private-jet job on K-Street has been arranged, with plenty of dollar signs, and DeLay saw that as a better deal and less legally complicated option, and stepped down.

I for one won't miss the little asshole.

Serius1111 must be hugh1111

All of Abramhoff's money can't save this crook!

DeLay would never quit because Jesus is his friend and it must be because the evil minions of Satan have somehow besmirched the poor boy!

Sweet. :bounce:

This is his one last shot at the "liberal media" and the democrats. DeLay sounds a lot like Barry Bonds - blaming others for hisown bad behavior.

Besides, there's more money to be made as a lobbyist or RW radio host.
