No way would Delay quit unless indictment were 100% certain!!
I'm looking forward to finding out if he gets nailed for his association with Abramoff, with Cunningham, or some other crooked deal. Maybe even all of them, all bundled together in one long, beautiful indictment! I wonder how many years he'll get - or if he'll try to burn someone else to cut a little time off his sentence. Lordy, those happy pics of these criminals in prison uniform may not be all that far off. First goes Libby, then goes Delay, oh HAPPY DAY!!!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

OK, break out the prison uniform pics for another round, folks!

15. Correcto on all points
He must be as good as convicted.

DeGuerin must have seen it coming because we haven't heard anything at all from him in some time.

9. I wouldn't believe it at first !
I am hoping that this is one of a long string of crooks that go down for their dealings with Abramoff and all that money. It seems that Harris is going to have to get out of the race soon also but there will not be any charges made regarding her. It is so surprising that Delay decided to get out of the race and there must be something up in the air for him to throw in the towel like this..he is too much of a fighter for this.

I think I will wait and see what happens. I'm taking this optimistic viewpoint. I fear he may have "cut a deal", but I'm still glad to see him gone.

22. Once upon a time, there was this freshman that was taken in
by this elder politician and shown all the ropes. He was mentored and was the favored among all others. Then he became ambitious and sought to overthrow his mentor. He organized a revolt against his mentor. He failed and was named.

Later, his mentor was forced to resign because of crooked deals.

Then, time passed, wives came and went, and the mentor tried to rehabilitate his image. But, he knew that he had to rid himself of his number one, former youthful accolade.

So, crash goes Tom DeLay.

On the other hand, this signals a significant shift in power. This is the real start of the 2006 election cycle.

There must be a plea deal coming along, and I bet it includes a lot of money and maybe worse. I think he'd win eaily, but he knows it isn't worth it anymore.

I live next door over in Ron Paul's district.
