Odometer Junkies: On Wednesday morning ...
Edited on Mon Apr-03-06 11:10 PM by TahitiNut
... at 2 minutes and 3 seconds after 1 in the morning it will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.
That won't happen again for 100 years.

1. Damn it Tahiti, now I have to stay up!
I notice things like this also. Funny the things that we notice sometimes. I'm always catching times like 12:34, 1:11, 11:11, 3:33, etc. Just happen to glance at the clock then for some reason.

Numbers are fun!:hi:

2. Well, I'm holding out for ...

02:04:06 on 08/10/12 :silly:

My big 'event' last year was watching my car's odometer roll 100,000 miles. I don't figure I'll ever see that again. I know the exact place it happened. I figure I'll embed a brass plaque in the pavement some day. :dunce:

bubble boy out of the WH by then! :woohoo:

Please make sure that brass plaque is embedded well enough not to cause any flat tires! :7

6. One of our sons still remembers when our old car turned over to 000000
It's been decades, but every so often he'll say .."Mom, remember that day when we were in the middle of the Rio Grande bridge, and the car odomoter turned to all zeroes"..

another son's birthday is 11/11 and he's already looking forward to 2011..:)

9. Without such nuttiness, life would lose it's rarer spices, imho.
I personally love this stuff to cover life's gamut between the ridiculous and the sublime. I think it deserves mention under the category of "Man's Search For Meaning" - since nowhere is the most meaningless made meaningful, imho.

8. Or wait another 29 days
and then celebrate it again in Europe on the 4th of May. :-)

Or, with an even more satisfying order, write the date and time in a strict 'largest to smallest' order (just like we write real numbers), and a couple of hours after that, celebrate:

06/05/04 03:02:01
