The guy's power came from cash going back and forth and the relentless bending of everything to the purposes of power. That is, this isn't a guy with a gift for gab. Or maybe, the talking head debate will go like this:

"Well, Tom, you heard what Howard Dean had to say. What do you have to say?"

"I am going to run an opponent against him in the primary if he doesn't cave."

I think DeLay will end up in prison, unless he rats out a few others, either way I will be happy.

If he doesn't end up in prison, I doubt he will end up on TV. Even making a semi honest living by being on Fox isn't his style. He will end up as a down and dirty lobbyist.

DeLay said he hopes to "engage in the important cultural and political battles of our day from outside the arena of the House of Representatives."

Bottom line: He's keeping his Virginia condo as his new primary residence. He can take new employement with K Street, or FauxSnooze, OR, he can take that new job in the private sector and shill for his new employers and the powers that be as a favored guest on Faux.
