Delay was a seriously weakened candidate - whoever Nick Lampson runs against won't be as weakened and it is a very conservative district.

4. Lampson will have name recognition advantage...

...and whoever takes Delay's place still has to somehow differentiate himself from DeLay. Plus, hopefully Stockman (former RW whackjob from adjoining district) will stay in as an Independent and split the vote.

Uphill for Lampson, but not impossible.

last night. One of those long, drawn out, make me pissed dreams.

First thing on the news when I wake up - DeLay is OUT! Sure helped to make my day not too consumed with anger!:bounce:
