Wanna laugh and puke at the same time?? NRCC response re: DeLay
From email:

National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Tom Reynolds today issued the following statement in response to Rep. Tom DeLay's announcement:

"The House Republican Conference is losing a powerful conservative voice in Tom DeLay. I applaud Tom for over two decades of service to the Congress and to the people of Texas’ 22nd District.

"Tom’s invaluable presence on the campaign trail will certainly be missed as we continue the battle to strengthen our House Republican Majority, but on this day, we celebrate him for time and again delivering on our party’s bold agenda of reform. To say Tom was a driving force in every key accomplishment of this Republican Congress is no understatement.

"In all my years as an elected official, I have never seen a better vote counter than Tom DeLay. I continue to think of Tom as an inspiring leader and wish nothing but the best to him and his family."

If you would like to support the NRCC and help to protect our Republican majority in Congress please go to this link.

4. Yes, indeed, if anything can be said about Tom, it's that he's a good
little vote counter.

He's also really good at strong arming people to get his way.

He's also a liar. And a thief. And corrupt as hell.

Having such a command of these traditional Republican values, it's easy to see why he'll be missed... :eyes:

5. Vote counter! On NPR I heard that he was not leading in the
polls and did not want to lose the seat. That's Tom, all heart.

13. He also has a lot of experience counting. Used to get paid by
the number of dead roaches, before he started counting Congresscritters.
Sorry, same thing. Scurry for cover when you shine a light on them. Except television lights.

14. Ha ha!
I was only trying to illustrate the ludicrous comment that Tom Delay is a good "vote counter" by comparing him to another infamous "vote counter." In fact, the only votes Tom Delay has ever been interested in counting have been the R votes in the 22nd district of Texas.

Sorry, I'll post a warning before displaying such a horrible image again!

The guy is a vote extractor. Bold agenda of reform? Not as "bold" as that statement itself!
