Rick Scarborough: Even a terrorist suspect ...innocent until proven guilty
Thanks to The Carpetbagger Report:

Last week, at the bizarre "War on Christians" conference, pastor Rick Scarborough presented Tom DeLay as a martyr, compared DeLay to Jesus, and designated DeLay God's official lawmaker.

"I believe the most damaging thing that Tom DeLay has done in his life is take his faith seriously into public office, which made him a target for all those who despise the cause of Christ," Scarborough said, introducing DeLay yesterday. When DeLay finished, the host reminded the politician: "God always does his best work right after a crucifixion."

Today, in response to DeLay's announcement that he will resign from Congress, Scarborough tried to praise DeLay again, though this time, the right-wing preacher made a comparison he probably wishes he could take back.

"I'm proud of Tom's participation in our landmark conference," Scarborough said. "And I would remind the media that in America, a man — even a terrorist suspect — is innocent until proven guilty." (emphasis added)

3. "God always does his best work right after a crucifixion."
These people have no idea what it means to be a Christian, IMHO.

4. Their Christianity is Bloodrite Paganism.

It's the Sacrifice they worship, not the ideology. The Rite, the Ritual, not the Result.
