AP: President Bush received a big "roar" as he headed for the mound...

- sounded like a mix of cheers and jeers to me
- IMO, the applause was for the wounded soldiers that accompanied * to the mound

1. Dubya took wounded soldiers with him to the field?
The chimp is just beyond pathetic exploitting the wounded like that. He has no sense of decency none.

4. Yep. I think it was a ploy to keep the boos to a minimum
Even in Cincinatti.

3. ohio
well what do you expect? The game was in Cincinatti, OHIO and mostly rich republican rust belter christians go to baseball games, so he was cheered by his fans I guess. Imagine the reaction if he threw the first pitch in Dodger Stadium or Yankee Stadium.

7. I was watching on TV
After all, it was my beloved Cubs, and it sounded like there were more cheers than boos. But I do think you're correct in saying that most of the cheering was for the soldiers who accompanied him. And if that's why he brought those warriors with him, he should be ashamed. At least he didn't make an appearance on Cub radio. And Santo was commenting that he forgot about all the security and was having a hard time "getting into there', meaning the bathroom. Wonder if they made him take his protheses off?

20. So what exactly does that have to do with the subject
of whether bush got cheered or booed? Those two assholes are in no way representative of anything but two drunken idiot lawbreakers. I also heard that they got into more trouble after getting out of prison. So I guess they are just total jack offs.

13. NPR refered to "a loud standing ovation." There were soldiers?
Then the applause may have been theirs, as well as the Usurper's. He should surround himself with kittens, so when he does get boos, the liberal press can say, "The president arrived to quell the jeers to kitten-hating leftist terrorists." Babies would work, playing to the Pro-Lifers' line.
