The local transit union is on strike, so half of all buses and all of the trains in the Denver metro area are not running.
I am a union supporter and a union member (UAW). I don't cross picket lines and I don't give business to anyone that uses scab labor.
However... the local buses in my part of town are run by a contractor who is not yet on strike (likely to do so within 21 days, though), and the buses are still running, though on a more limited schedule.
Would we be crossing the picket line if we used our local service? I'm really conflicted on this, because we use the bus so as not to be adding garbage into the air, and I really don't want to put any money into management's pockets, but our monthly passes are already paid for (we buy them for a year in advance, so as to get a bit of a discount). So the money's already spent.
