Why is it Republicans don't "Trust the People?"
Bush* ran in 2000 on the Slogan "I Trust the People" and before the votes were even counted he said publicly ~ People are Subjective and Machines are Objective so only machines can be trusted to count the votes ~ They insist upon machines to count our votes. Why? Why don't they trust the American people, especially 'judges', election judges. Why has this not become an issue to be addressed by the GOP? Are Americans not to be trusted?

2. Because they consider the people to be morons.
They only have themselves as examples, and assume everyone else is like that.

3. Our system of government is designed to work with some gap between
the people, though the GOP takes it way overboard. They are the "stern parent" type who expect all the "children" to follow along no questions asked.

6. They do trust the people, the rich ones.
Its always been that way and it hasnt changed.

Its time to bring back the populist roots to the Dem party. Time to bring this government back to its people. No more repukes representing a tiny fraction of this populice.
