My entry in the HuffPo contagious festival

Hello everyone,
I have a piece in the HuffPo contagious festival as well. It looks like I'll never catch up with the leaders (including Ava's lovely piece) but I'm trying to stay in the top ten, to at least get the eye of the judges! My piece is Billion Dollar Cheney, and you can see it here:

From here in Bloomington, IN. It's actually me singing, but Jenn Cristy is the kick-ass vocalist singing backup, and the band is the Jenn Cristy Band. Hubby just finished recording their CD!

...that was really great! I also liked it when Billion Dollar Cheney was riding his Segway through Abu-Guhraib...:rofl: Good work and good luck with the "Contagious Festival"!

I think there is a flaw with the contest, however. And the flaw is...they shouldn't have a "ranking" system displaying the order and amount of votes the entries have because it skew's the #1 contestant WAY out ahead of the others.

I think it would be better if they listed the entries RANDOMLY on the cf.huffintonpost.com main page - that way everyone gets an equal chance and "appeals to popularity" won't skew the results.

Plus, the best entries I think will get passed around via email, blogs (hence the name "Contagious").

But, that's just me!

15. I definitely noticed that getting your entry in on the 1st makes

a huge difference. You're right about it being self-perpetuating. If I had it to do again I would have submitted at midnight on the first!

Thanks for your support! And I think Cheney probably does get cash drops out at his ranch in Wyoming. He probably shoots at stacks of fifties instead of those skeet thingys.
