1. Didn't they get some laws passed about that? Shouldn't they be
facing charges now?

2. Again?
The last time i saw that was in Washington DC and someone mentioned it was against the local law to deface a flag. I sent a E0mail to the DC tip line but nothing was done of course.

3. Well, it's already against the law in D.C.
Any idea where this desecration took place?

there would be a least one member who knew the Flag Rules.

"The laws relating to the flag of the United States of America are found in detail in the United States Code. Title 4, Chapter 1 pertains to the flag; Title 18, Chapter 33, Section 700 regards criminal penalties for flag desecration; Title 36, Chapter 3 pertains to patriotic customs and observances. These laws were supplemented by Executive Orders and Presidential Proclamations."

The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.

6. Maybe I'm missing something.
How is the flag defaced? It looks like a patchwork quilt in the form of a flag, a frequently used design.
