folding@home problem

folding@home problem
This might be a server problem. I just finished a nice big WU and the client tried to load a new one. Here's what I get:

<17:21:40> Loaded queue successfully.
<17:21:40> + Benchmarking ...
<17:21:45> - Preparing to get new work unit...
<17:21:45> + Attempting to get work packet
<17:21:45> - Connecting to assignment server
<17:21:46> - Successful: assigned to (171.64.122.112).
<17:21:46> + News From Folding@Home: Welcome to Folding@Home
<17:21:46> Loaded queue successfully.
<17:21:47> - Deadline time not received.
<17:21:52> - Error: Attempt #1 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry.
<17:22:00> + Attempting to get work packet
<17:22:00> - Connecting to assignment server
<17:22:01> - Successful: assigned to (171.64.122.112).
<17:22:01> + News From Folding@Home: Welcome to Folding@Home
<17:22:01> Loaded queue successfully.
<17:22:02> - Deadline time not received.
<17:22:07> - Error: Attempt #2 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry.
<17:22:17> + Attempting to get work packet
<17:22:17> - Connecting to assignment server
<17:22:18> - Successful: assigned to (171.64.122.112).

This has been going on for some time now,

1. uh oh
you might need to uninstall it and reinstall. I've never seen error messages like that.

3. Mine never even made a successful connection
so I dumped it after the first couple of weeks.

I imagine they had more response than their servers could handle.

4. It seems they have had problems in the past. Hardware wears out

from time to time.

I pinged the server and got this:

--- 171.64.122.112 ping statistics ---
71 packets transmitted, 70 packets received, 1% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 193.473/3283.668/20173.100/5651.532 ms
mail:~ elfin$

that lost packet could have been from me stopping the process.

I tried a different server and it did the same. I went to the page for server stats and most are full.

5. It isn't a problem I find. They are changing to a different set
of data. That might have been why you couldn't get anything. They should be back up and running in a week or two.
