Seems lots of folks have opinions on something they know nothing about.

There we go again letting the repukes drive the BS conversation topics...this shouldn't even be a discussion.

1. You weren't there when Bush decided to go to war in Iraq.
I'll bet the house that you've got an opinion on that.

16. this is a little different...I don't think you can compare the two
see when this happened there was probably a few witnesses, an investigation by the police, and an outcome will happen.

when bush did what he did, the only witnesses are still in office minus Libby...they are trying to stop any investigation into what they did...and we are not sure if there will even be an outcome ;)

17. Aren't your reasons just more of why we should have an opinion?
After all, we already know infinitely more about this case than we do about Bush's decision to go into Iraq. That makes us far more qualified to have an educated opinion.

3. comments are okay, ridiculous comparison aren't.
McKinney compared to Bush and OJ, for example are just a couple I've seen here, sure there's more.

14. How insulting to OJ, who. according to accusations made at
his trial, killed two people at most.

4. I was there. The cops harassed her, she didn't touch the cop
no harm was done to the cop. The GOP is making all this up.
OK...I wasn't there. You are right. Lets see where the chips fall.

5. agree. One prosecutor-pundit suggested she perhaps didn't hear the cop
tell her to stop and she kept on walking. Then he physically put his hand on her and not knowing it was the cop, she whacked or poked him.

It's plausible but we really don't know what happened.

My 2 cents: call it a misdemeanor, everyone say they're sorry it happened, get over it and let McKinney get back to her job. Enough already! This is nothing compared to BushCo's dangerous incompetence, fraudulent war, Halliburton/KBR/Carlyle Grp/BushCo stealing us blind and a $9 trillion debt.

6. Because she has made an ass of herself on tv
I was there for that. I was witholding any opinion about it and really wasn't very interested in it until I saw her being just as evasive and dishonest as the worst neo-con dirtbag.

10. Oh You Don't Understand...
Just the mentioning of the name of Cynthia McKinney or of the Reverend Al Sharpton will result in billions of pixulated fonts regurgitating old grudges and latent scolds throughout the DU landscape.

But don't get me wrong, nobody HERE is a racist.

Maybe...

11. Yes there are over the top
remarks about McKinney, but there are plenty on the other side as well. In addition, race shouldn't be a factor on how we judge our politicians- and that goes both ways too. I feel no compunction about disliking a politician who happens to be black or latino or white or female or whatever. Nor should I.

15. Get real
Somebody farts and they lock down the capitol. As someone that lives in Atlanta I can tell you that she first apologized and then talked to daddy "Billy" and screamed racist.

She would be the first one to complain if security did fail at the capitol and some threat got by the minimum wage guards. I have had jobs where I had to show my badge for the same guard for years. She is no prima donna, so get over it.
