How STUPID does an HSA official have to be not to realize...
...that everything he does online can be/is being watched?

This guy worked for HOMELAND SECURITY? WTF?! The guy in the next office to his could just as easily have been the one watching his every keystroke! It is amazing that in this day and age people don't realize that NOTHING you do online is anonymous. But this guy, this HOMELAND SECURITY official, what the bloody hell was he thinking? Or was he just another Bush family crony with no clue about the job he was actually supposed to be doing?

Jesus...I mean...wow. What a freakin' dumb ass!

1. Perhaps he suspected that there are no consequences for Bushies,
since that IS the way things have worked until recently

4. Well, sure, maybe if he was trying to pick up bald-headed men!
But teenage luekemia victims? That's sick, even for BUSHCO!

3. He even sent her his picture wearing an HSA pin
he really believed he was above the law.

5. What if the 14-year-old hottie on the other end
was not a detective, but an al-Qada operative? The Deputy Chief of HSA arranges to meet her (because he is not only a perv, but a very stupid perv) and he is kidnapped, held hostage and tortured for information?

This incident proves to me once again that there is no "al-Qada" and terrorism is just a scam.

6. The words 14-year-old and hottie
in the same sentence simply do not compute.

9. Oh, sure they do.
Do you think Brittney Spears looked ugly when she was 14? Girls, especially in this day and age, dress and act beyond their years. No one can help it if they're attractive. But men can certainly understand what "VERBOTTEN" means. It's the same in any language. Except maybe Appalachian. ;-)

12. If young girls--or boys--were ugly and repulsive,
it wouldn't have to be illegal to have sex with them.

Regardless, I was trying to write from the perv's POV.

15. I read an interesting article te other day, several links out from a
wikipedia entry, about Brittney and Christina Aguilera and the whole "looks like a slut -- says she's a virgin" thing we've been seeing in pop music for a few years now. The great quote was something to the effect that girls who emulate that style want to be Bad Girls -- but don't want to acknowledge the reality that there are also Bad Boys. Some of it is just fashion trends and clothing styles, but it's sad that so many young women have been taught that being a slut (or pretending to be a slut) is the epitome of feminist empowerment. Doesn't have anything to do with this case so far as I know...just the other comments.

11. It's as if he wanted to get caught
I think this is how it works:

Al Qaeda wants to kill me for my "freedoms"
Homeland Security will protect me from Al Qaeda (ha!) but molest my kids
The FBI will protect my kids from Homeland Security but then they'll illegally tap my phone
I know the ACLU wants to help protect me from the FBI tapping my phone so that's good...just as long as they don't end up killing my dog or something.

14. true. Thinking is bad for the team.
Maybe I'll punish myself by popping Oxycotin and watching an hour or two of Fox News. I'll be violating my own human rights, but it's the price one must pay for freedoms. :D
