218 Republicans Vote To Deny America A Congressional Ethics Investigation
Edited on Wed Apr-05-06 04:02 PM by ThomWV
This is what should be headlined on tonight's news:

Republicans vote in lock-step to deny American's an investigation into Congressional corruption.

Two hundred and eighteen (218) loyal Republicans voted to table a resolution brought to the floor by Democrat Nancy Pelosi which would have resulted in a probe into what is generally perceived to be widespread corruption within the Republican Party. The Resolution, supported by one hundred ninety eight (198) loyal Democrats, was pushed aside in a 15 minute vote.

If they don't Die-bold us to death, they'll pay for it in November!

after there's a change in the house and senate -- then we can go after Bush impeachment!

they'll say. That's pretty dirty, all right, trying to force the Republicans to do business honestly and above board.

...Gee, what could they be hiding? Lets see, Cunningham was bribed, and caught, Delay knows he is done for - stick a fork in him, and several other critters are about to kick campaign buckets.

Looks like A Culture of Corruption they are trying to hide, eh?

"In the wake of one House scandal after another, how did Congressthug Jack Kingston respond? He voted against an ethics investigation. What's he hiding? Jack Kingston -- too crooked for Georgia."

serious investigation into the republican culture of corruption.

I hope no one is shocked by their vote.

Would the mafia approve a thorough investigation of the mafia?

Another regrettable vote Republicans are going to be re-living in the one-on-one debates in a few months.
