GOP Kills Resolution Calling for Ethics Investigation to Abramoff
Republicans Again Kill Pelosi Resolution Calling for Ethics Investigation of Members Linked to Abramoff

Washington, D.C. - House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi introduced a privileged resolution on the House floor this afternoon, which requires an ethics investigation of all Members of Congress implicated in the criminal activities of Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Republicans defeated Pelosi’s resolution without debate by a vote of 218 to 198, with six Republicans voting with Democrats. Below are Pelosi’s statement and the privileged resolution.

“Once again, the Republicans in Congress have voted to to cover up the truth by refusing to even debate this resolution to direct the Ethics Committee to immediately investigate the misconduct by Members of Congress and their staff connected to the criminal activity of convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Two high-ranking Republican Leadership staffers have already pleaded guilty, revealing what the Washington Post described as a ‘far-reaching criminal enterprise operating out of’ the Republican Leader’s office.

1. "And not only that, boys and girls, but Mr. Fox said of COURSE he
could be trusted to guard the henhouse overnight. Why, he told us he wasn't even hungry!"

Never a GOP fan, I still think this current crop absolutely takes the cake for corruption.

4. And yet I hear nothing about this on MSM

Why aren't the Dems holding press conferences about this?

Why aren't they calling out the Republicans for the lyin', cheatin', thievin' sacks of shit that they are?

Where is the outrage?

By all means let's have a Grand Jury on the McKinney incident. Let's spend millions on investigating the Clintons because they *MIGHT* have done something wrong in their past.

But let's ignore outright corruption in Congress! The Dems need to be throwing some fits about this.

5. And hardly a peep 'out there'. Why repugs aren't as furious
about this as we are is beyond me.

6. Is it true that an ethics complaint was filed against McKinney by Delay?
If so, she should file one right back, charging him with using charging HER as a weapon of mass distraction!
