Don't Kid Yourself!....Cynthia McKinney is PAY BACK for Tom Delay!
Cynthia did a "push back" in a way that Cindi Sheehan would do when the Cap Police dragged her and the Repug Wife out during Bush's SOU.

It's only "coincidence" that McKinney got grabbed and now we have "Laura Bush Book," "Number 2 Pedophile exposing themselves on the Internet from Dept. of Homeland Security and Tom Delay's Resignation for possible Criminal Behavior.

The Media loves to do the Pix of Cynthia's Hair Changes but did they EVER report on "Lizard Eyes Delay" who got a "nip and tuck" of his eyelids so that "age" didn't disturb his image and the Dems wouldn't call him "Lizard Eyes" anymore?

And...while I'm at it...Our DEMS have taken "liberal use" of the "House Plastic Surgeon" because when Pelosi assumed the "Minority Leader" position many of us Dem Females were sort of in "awe" of her "Pop Eye" lid surgery where she couldn't seem to "close her eyelids" for a year until the tissues "settled."

2. I was absolutely just thinking the same thing.
It has the horrible smell of bugman revenge. The repugs have pulled out all the stops to cover 'Hot Tub Tom''s smell, haven't they? 'Cause they know the bugman's stench won't go away.

4. What did you think of the "child predator" hearing yesterday?
I couldn't help thinking things like "the Franklin Coverup". I thought of Andy and how he dogged that issue. Could Justin be the tipping point?

6. You know i think this thing with Congresswoman McKinney,
it much to do about nothing. That said i do wish she hadn't done whatever it is that they say she did. I've seen her on the T-wee trying to explain herself, and to tell you the truth she doesn't come across very well.

I really supported her in her efforts to shine some light on the 9-11 cover up, that took nerve and she certainly handled herself well in those hearing. But as we all know since 9-11 it's all about security, so called security! And it's going to be difficult for her to defend herself on this topic.

If i were the Capitol Hill Police, i don't think i would want the publicity this is going to bring. Since the Cindy screwup at the SOTU address they can be considered a class act themselves.

It's just more stupidity coming from our nations capitol, and i for one don't like it when it's a democrat that under the spotlight and this is an election year.

12. Thanks...and if anyone wan't to go back..Delay's Eyelids DID overhang
and when a couple of Dem Websites (way back when there was only "Salon and Media Whores" mentioned it....it wasn't long until Delay sported new "sans eyelid droop" and not long after so did Nancy Pelosi. (now I'm not dissing Nancy.....because if I could afford a few "nips and tucks around the edges" I might do it, too.

BUT! the BIG ISSUE HERE IS...Tom Delay is portrayed by his supporters as a man who worked NIGHT AND DAY....THROUGH EXHAUSTION...trying to get REPUGS who AGREEED WITH "HIM" and his FUNDIE CHRISTIAN STUFF...elected and he's just so exhausted and "worn out with the Dem Blow Back Fighting that he just felt that GOD had called him to "Resign" and work for a "higher purpose" outside the US Congress House Position...and shouldn't we Democrats be SOOOO ASHAMED of how we treated him that we just "roll over and die in our "poopie messies of stink?"

The Repugs are VERY CLEVER...shouldn't we Dems be working HARDER?????

20. Here's the text / Salon about Tom's" Extreme Makeover" that would go with
Edited on Wed Apr-05-06 08:16 PM by KoKo01
your PIX! OMG...I know I read this somewhere in the past...but just did a Google and read this one!

Tom DeLay's extreme makeover

With DeLay's image sinking toward Gingrich-like depths, we asked professional image consultants and P.R. execs how to dress him for success.

By Page Rockwell
Pages 1

April 8, 2005 | Tom DeLay is a walking public relations nightmare. Even many of his putative compatriots on the right are turning away in horror. His political grandstanding during the last days of Terri Schiavo's life was a painful sight in itself. And earlier this week, the notoriously conservative Wall Street Journal opinion page smacked DeLay around for money laundering and illegal campaign contributions. If the House majority leader expects to be reelected in 2006, it's safe to say he needs a serious makeover. And who better to polish DeLay's reputation than public relations executives and image consultants? Figuratively and literally, DeLay needs a new do.

"DeLay's public persona has become radioactive," says Andy Plesser, principal of Plesser Holland, a public relations firm in New York. "He's got to cool down. He can go along with his bombastic, combative approach with the mainstream media -- but that's a very bad idea. He can get a more sympathetic ear with Fox News, the New York Post and talk radio. Or he can decide to keep a lower profile. I think that's the best choice."

Plesser believes DeLay's recent displays of arrogance and political opportunism have knocked the lights out of his leadership. "As a leader, it's pretty much over for him," he says. "He's become a liability and his influence is going to wane. He's going to be a lightning rod for criticism from the Democrats. His recent behavior and demeanor on CNN are indicative of one who has lost the composure that's necessary to keep that position of leadership."

Sam Lauter, a political consultant and public relations executive in San Francisco, also says DeLay needs to dial down his hubris a good three notches. The Wall Street Journal dinged the Republican for riding to power on a wave of revulsion against big government but now embodying its worst traits himself. "And if there's one thing Americans don't like, it's hypocrisy," Lauter says. "Americans like people to be honest, and he's not being honest at the moment." Lauter, though, calls DeLay tough and smart and believes that by chilling out he will live to fight and win another Texas congressional battle.

Maybe so, says Diane Parente, president of Image Development and Management, based in Ross, Calif., but he better do something about his hair. "It looks shellacked to me," she says. "Every hair is in place. I would get rid of the gel." And while he's at it, he might consider a better-fitting suit. "He's very sloppy looking and the fit of his overall suits is sloppy," Parente says. ''His shirt is too tight. Although he wears a lot of tans, taupes and navy. And that's good." As for his appearance, well, he "needs to convey a more sincere attitude and watch the expression on his mouth, which looks like a frown. I would have him go in for an eyelift because he has heavy lids and they conceal his eyes; it makes him look cynical."

Plastic surgery for DeLay is most assuredly not an approach that Houston professional image consultant Suzie Wilson, founder of Image & Impact, would entertain. "Oh, I don't think he needs to change a thing," she says. "I think he's wonderful. He's a handsome man."

Wilson says DeLay's homespun Texan image fits him like a glove. "He wears a nice khaki pant with pleats that are going away from the abdominal area," she says. "If pleats go toward the abdomen, they make it look bigger. But he's always got a nice, toned-down, expensive-looking fabric khaki pant. He wears a nice shoe and a nice argyle sock." Khaki shirts, though, should be out for DeLay. "And orange," Wilson says. "If he were wearing a polo shirt, that would not be one of his best colors. Nothing in the orange or gold family. And no jewelry or bling-bling! That's important."

15. They have an incredible "Media Machine" that orchestrates with MSM
and "anticipates" all the bad news coming their way. They can run circles against the stuff we Dems do. We Dems have the new growing "INTERNET" to counter their "spin and marketing about 'Brand' and 'Assets' but I have to hope the "CREATIVE COMMUNITY" and the "GRASSROOTS LABOR" will COME TOGETHER IN A "MIGHT WIND" to SWEEP THEM OUT

It's so hard waiting for this to happen, though....:-(

17. What I can't get is that with the Polls Turning Against Bush...they still
keep at it. And if anything they move more Rightward?

I know it's their Corporate Owners...but how many folks can run after the "Fox Audience" before the market share is so diluted that the advertisers only give you pennies on the dollar for your income?

I've come to think that CNN and MSNBC must have othere "HIGH ROLLERS" funding them like "Mellon-Scaife" funded "Whitewater and Clinton Impeachement with Ken Starr."

It's just amazing the "unlimited pocketbooks of the RW Fundie/Bush Bots" to support giving millions and millions to RW Attack Groups and "Endless Legal Cases" isn't it.

OR.........is the TRUTH that it isn't only the American Corporatists who are funding BUSH...it goes BROADER AND DEEPER THAN THAT!

So......WHO IS providing the BILLIONS that keeps the BUSH/ROVE/REPUG MACHINE still GOING...when their POLLS ARE IN THE CRAPPER?

Who is it? Is it just Saudi/UAE MONEY? An endless pit of Oil Interests?

When does the damned WELL RUN DRY????
